Seras March 16, 2013 March 16, 2013 For those of you who have already created a sentient or imposed Tulpa, how often were you discouraged while creating your Tulpa? Did you ever almost fully give up while Tulpaforcing or did you trooper on through the whole process? And for those who are currently creating one, do you ever suddenly feel like you aren't going to get anywhere? I've made two threads on this forum generally asking super specific questions on what I should do and how I should go about it, I had a general skeleton of a personality that I was going to use and a form all set up for my Tulpa, and had way overprepped to start Tulpaforcing, when I suddenly just crashed and felt like I didn't have that enthusiasm or motivation anymore. About a day or two ago I did another 'Greeting Phase', and while I know I'm not supposed to feel anything for a while an that everyone's creation process differs, I feel like its way too easy for me to do something wrong. I have yet to even really create my Tulpa, let alone know if I'm doing things right, and I've already nearly reached the breaking point, which is a shame because I was really looking forward to everything about creating a Tulpa. Has anyone else ever gotten like this? Did it hinder your progress at all? Did you make it through? Is it just a problem that I have?[/align]
Kiahdaj March 16, 2013 March 16, 2013 No, you're certainly not alone. Doubt and discouragement are the largest hindrances hosts experience. They are something that I can safely say that most of us (excluding the ones who claim to have made their tulpa in a matter of days) have had. I personally had had quite a problem with them. Not so much the discouragement, as the doubt though, as any discouragement I had, came from doubt. It honestly wasn't until recently (7 months too late) that I finally decided to discard my doubt, and just get on with it. Best decision I've made in a while. So yes, we too experience discouragement, and so forth. However, you must prevail. That is, if this is important enough to you. If you truly do want a tulpa of your own, then just keep at it. Don't let doubt, discouragement, or anything else get in your way. Just do it. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Seras March 16, 2013 Author March 16, 2013 Do you ever know when you're doing things right? Is there a point where things just click or is there no real way to know that you're doing things right? I thank you for the advice, btw. I think I'll just try to compose myself, sit down, and create my Tulpa. When I start to lose the idea that there is one definitive, proper way to get a Tulpa and start to get that there are many ways to do it, I'll probably be more relaxed about it. Make no mistake that creating a Tulpa is something I want to do very badly, I'm just... Stuck, I suppose.
Kiahdaj March 16, 2013 March 16, 2013 Well, I will tell you this now, whether you can take it to heart or not: there is not any best way to create a tulpa. As I, and everyone else who knows what they're talking about will tell you, the "best" way to create a tulpa is whichever way works best for you. Whatever feels right to you. Your tulpa themselves may have some preferences, but you obviously can't know of them, until you can hear them. Honestly, the creation of a tulpa is very, very simple, and it is actually very hard to do it "wrong". Basically, you'd either have to try to do it wrong, or be a complete asshole to your tulpa in order for it to go wrong. I understand where you're coming from. But eventually, you're just going to have to realize that what it takes, is for you to just do it. And believe. Why not go ahead and make that realization now? "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Guest Anonymous March 16, 2013 March 16, 2013 I discussed about tulpae on ld4all some time ago, and we came to the conclusion that it is really hard to screw up your tulpa. About the discouragement, I would say that yes, I had (and still have) moments where I just think I'm not getting anywhere, and also have doubts about the existence of my tulpa. I guess it is something almost everybody has experienced :/ Yes I also think that the chances to actually "mess up" are really' date=' really small. Talking to your tulpa is always a good thing. If you don't parrot your tulpa, then you might want to stop from time to time and listen carefully if you can hear some sort of response coming from your tulpa. Make sure that your tulpa knows what she is (for example, that she is not a fictional character or the like) and that she feels loved/wanted. :)[/quote'] The post I meant.
Weird0 March 16, 2013 March 16, 2013 I had a lot of problems with my doubt so that i almost stopped quite some times. In times of "low encouragement" phases it always helped me a lot when i just kept narrating as much as i could. After that things went uphill again. Still though it was going up and down quite often, some phases were critical, some weren't. Today (over 7 months later) things are different. There are still phases where we have more or less time with each other but, that's okay because it doesn't feel like i'm losing her anymore. Over the the you will learn to not give up and fighting is worth it. Also the less you think about giving up, the less likely it is. And the worst thing you do is making you feel bad about such low encouragement phases. I'm just a pretty introverted guy and i need my distance - even to my tulpa. And we are both okay with that today. In retrospective i must say that not giving up is totally worth it and less likely the further you get. So don't give up! They say great science is built on the shoulders of giants - not here. At Tulpa.info we do all our science from scratch; no hand holding.
Nobillis March 16, 2013 March 16, 2013 {Hi, this is Kevin, the nominal "host" apparently. Yeah, my first attempt at making a tulpa was a disaster (for Kerin). I pretty much gave up after a week, and it wasn't until years later that I realized I had succeeded. More recently, I'm having trouble hearing Nobillis. But she can type online just fine, and she seems to prefer to learn from the internet rather then depend on me "forcing". I've only seen and heard her fully imposed just the once - but it was so amazing that it just "blew me away". Since then, I've been kind of nervous about it and that's probably why imposition is taking so long. So, ironically, I'm currently using IRC if I want to speak with Nobillis. (since I can't hear her well, but I can see what she types.) Meh. I suck at making tulpas. Kerin is much better at it then I am, but Kerin's "unavailable" at present. Cheers, Kevin (a [pet] human)} Please consider supporting Tulpa.info.
Lacquer March 16, 2013 March 16, 2013 Kerin is much better at it then I am I would think that many people would say that tulpas have an easier tiime making other tulpas than a human making tulpas.
Seras March 16, 2013 Author March 16, 2013 I think I'm going to just buckle down and do it, then. If chances of screwing up are incredibly slim, then I've really nothing to worry about. Thank you guys, I'm glad I'm not alone in this.
