I like what TulpaCouple said in that what really matters is your relationship with your tulpa. I can safely say that both Luna and I recall most days as a blur. Besides, what matters the most is what's happening in the /now/.

Name: Luna (Used to be "Dashie")

Birthday: Jan 29, 2013

Form: Rainbow Dash

Stage: Imposition/Visualization/Voice

I have a pretty poor memory, at least when it comes to mundane day to day things. It's not unlikely that I wouldn't even remember breakfast if someone asked me.

As for my tupper, i have no reason to believe she is lying to me. When i usually ask her, she either says she did some reading, or just followed me through my day. Nothing too interesting.

Tulpa: Ren

Stage: Imposition

Form: Unicorn

Her speech/comments dictated by square brackets. [Hi, everyone!]

I'm in a similar situation like yours.

I tend to doubt a lot, especially about my tulpa's responses.

I would ask her certain things, and I sometimes get a reply.

"What have you been today?"

"Looking at you?" But, I don't believe her.

I tend to think that tulpas are just my brain tricking me. Just my conscious making up responses because I make it a habit. And the fact that they exist as a completely different conscious being inside my mind, doesn't really convince me. It just sounds way too good to be true. But we all know that for tulpas to develop, you need to believe it - which I'm useless at doing.

Nate used to struggle with this doubt very strongly, especially when Luke would give an extremely vague answer. Later on we laughed when we realized that we both do the same thing if we had been lazy through the day--if I am at work and Nate has the day off, sometimes his answers are about as vague as a tulpa's, because he was just zoning out. I think tulpas can sometimes zone out, but it might seem a bit spooky to us since they are mental beings after all.

Thanks for pointing that out. It wasn't too encouraging when a couple tulpae would go off on their own for a while and when they return and I ask what they did, I get no answer, something vague or incomprehensible, or "uhhh...". And yeah, I do the same darn thing -- goof off all day and get nothing of note done, then not have a decent answer when a friend asks what I'm up to. Probably even easier to do that when you live in a world you can control perfectly and there's nothing really pressing you need to do.

Mine do something of the sort too, and I actually encourage it sometimes. The thinking is if they watch what I'm doing in real life, they become more acquainted with the physical senses and how the body moves, which will be useful for possession and switching.

Also, most tulpae love their hosts in one way or another, and looking at the person you love is a pleasant way to pass time when there isn't much interesting going on. I should think it would be even more so if you can see their thoughts.

I think this was a big thing with us, seeing how Roswell was formless early on more or less, so he was and still is often leeching off of the body's physical senses. He says that in a way, even though he had never used the body before, it already was familiar to him when we first started doing possession. I am taking over this thread.
