Pronas April 4, 2013 April 4, 2013 If you ask a tulpa what they did throughout the day, and they tell you about how the did this and that, is it your brain making shit up or did the tulpa really do it? And does it really matter? When you ask someone else what they did and they tell you stuff, do you really wonder if they really did it or if they're lying?
glitchthe3rd April 4, 2013 April 4, 2013 No, I don't ever wonder that. And my girls are usually pretty truthful about what they've been up to all day. "Science isn't about why, science is about why not?" -Cave Johnson Tulpae: Luna, Elise, Naomi My progress report
fennecfoxx April 4, 2013 April 4, 2013 They really did it, but I tend to have doubt about that for some reason, so I just tend not to ask. Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. Whatever the case, the OG gang’s still here: Host: fennec (they/them) Tulpas: Alex (he/him) and Kayleigh (she/her) Delete all memories of those who know my awkward past
TulpaCouple April 4, 2013 April 4, 2013 Nate used to struggle with this doubt very strongly, especially when Luke would give an extremely vague answer. Later on we laughed when we realized that we both do the same thing if we had been lazy through the day--if I am at work and Nate has the day off, sometimes his answers are about as vague as a tulpa's, because he was just zoning out. I think tulpas can sometimes zone out, but it might seem a bit spooky to us since they are mental beings after all. In the end I don't think it matters. What matters is your relationship with your tulpa. If what they do is made up on the spot, oh well, we do a damned good job of making it realistic. I'd rather believe they do these things on their own--especially now that Jaden can interrupt me when I am busy and let me know that something is happening. But I don't find it concerning if my tulpa can't give me a good answer for what they were up to when I do the same thing.
Sands April 4, 2013 April 4, 2013 Just like I can't be sure about if you actually did something or if I'm making it up in case I'M THE ONLY REAL PERSON AROUND HELP, I just believe it unless it sounds like something impossible. Of course with tuppers, they really could be battling dragons and whatever. If my imagination is good enough to make all this up, then it sure has fooled me and I don't see a difference between this being just my wild imagination or a real thing anymore, so I don't mind. Sometimes I get solid answers of things that have been done, sometimes it's nothing more than just relaxing or watching me like a creepy stalker. I'm saying everything everyone before me has please help. I gotta say, I always hate it when people ask me what I have done, so I don't ever really ask Roswell either. Other people do ask him, though. Weird how that goes. The THE SUBCONCIOUS ochinchin occultists frt.sys (except Roswell because he doesn't want to be a part of it)
NekoiNemo April 4, 2013 April 4, 2013 Maybe you should not concentrate on it so much. Even if they aren't honest about that was they doing all day it's probably because of either embarrassment or, well, because thing that they did was just plain boring and routine. Why would your tulpa ever want to seriously lie to you? Dunno, maybe it's just me, but Yami thinks that very idea of that is plain stupid. 現実に抗え!
Kiahdaj April 4, 2013 April 4, 2013 Even if they didn't do it, I don't see any reason to doubt. I don't have to worry about that, though, because it seems the only response I ever get to that question is "nothing". "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
abcdefg April 4, 2013 April 4, 2013 I would actually just go with: Don't ask. If they want to tell you something they can do so and if asking only leads you to doubting don't ask. Simple as that.
Pronas April 4, 2013 Author April 4, 2013 Ok, thanks guys. I will just stop being so paranoid about stuff and just go more with the flow.
Guest EnnervateIndustries April 5, 2013 April 5, 2013 Just FYI, everything you remember doing during the day is your brain making shit up. Pretty accurate shit, though.
