ThatOneGuy June 8, 2012 June 8, 2012 The wonderland is contained completely within the mind, and nothing more. If you can realize this, then you must realize that it can become whatever you can think of. Anyways, keep things simple, but really flesh out those things to solidify them in your mind as 'things that are continual in my wonderland'. I would also like to let you know that your thread title has been tweeted to many, many people. Good choice of words there buddy. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
ThatOneGuy June 8, 2012 June 8, 2012 Hoppip, there are several professors and the like following the twitter. And on top of that I don't think that asking for a little bit of professionalism (at least on this board) is too much. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
Spoons June 8, 2012 June 8, 2012 My wonderland is a beach with a forest next to it (details on my new blog but no one reads anyone else's blog it seems) and I went in there and cut a tree down with one fell karate chop and fashioned a bench out of it kind of like this in a few seconds. So by realizing that you don't have to create a world with the same physical limitations as the one you live in is something that can not only keep you interested in your wonderland but also make it more enticing to use. Also, feeling the sand under my feet or the cold wet feeling of the ocean helps me concentrate on being in my wonderland, and keeps it constant. And yeah, try not to type like/be a thirteen year old. This is PSYCHOLOGY SHIT YO Tulpa name: Liz Some traits: Confident, Open-Minded, Motivated Progress: Working on Visualization Sentience: Rare pressure responses My progress with Liz.
tulpatalk June 8, 2012 June 8, 2012 Fourfiction, imagine a box. Now imagine the box opening. Imagine there's a carrot in the box. Now go off and do something else. After a while, imagine the carrot again. Make it the exact same carrot. Rinse and repeat. Now do this with an imaginary location. Bam, wonderland. p.s. Your thread title is terrible and you should feel terrible for having typed it. a picture frame that I jump in/out of to enter/exit it. Blue skidoo? [Note: Opinions]
Guest applesauce99 June 8, 2012 June 8, 2012 In other words, you are making a memory palace. A memory palace, in short, is a place in your mind that you create using your spatial intelligence in order to create a place that you can put information in, leave the place, and then come back later and find the information still there. A lot of people who have excellent memory claim to use this method in order to remember large strings of numbers, etc. No, it is not like you go into another dimension and you actually see everything as if it were really in front of you. At least not in a memory palace. It's more like a very vivid idea in your mind's eye. My memory palace use to be a library, until I set off a bomb in it to symbolize that I was making another one. Now it's a blank white area with a table that has some notes on it, along with a picture frame that I jump in/out of to enter/exit it. Ok, that's easier to understand because I've used a memory palace once. To flunk a geo test. Hoppip, there are several professors and the like following the twitter. And on top of that I don't think that asking for a little bit of professionalism (at least on this board) is too much. I apologize for my informal approach and likewise grammar. As I mentioned a bit before, I understand the expectations and will try to conform to them. And yeah, try not to type like/be a thirteen year old. This is PSYCHOLOGY SHIT YO GOT IT. That's also the highest age someone said about me. I'm a month shy of 17, just so everyone knows. Kinda saddening, considering my broad (sarcasm) range of vocabulary and grammar.
Irish June 9, 2012 June 9, 2012 Irish called it a wonderland without realizing that it already exists under a different name, albeit it has a different purpose. By creating a 'wonderland', you are essentially using the method of loci. In other words, you are making a memory palace. So I did something smart without realizing it... Cool~
RBDash June 12, 2012 June 12, 2012 I thought I had wonderlands down, but after seeing some posts here about peoples experiences in their wonderlands I think I might be wrong. How realistic is your wonderland supposed to be? Is it just like everything else you imagine, or is it more real like a lucid dream? And if it is, how do I go about making it like so? Name: Suzy Form: Like my avatar, but realistic. Time: 58 hours.
Guest applesauce99 June 12, 2012 June 12, 2012 Mines about as realistic as a daydream. I want to one day master lucid dreaming and interact with my tulpa in a fully realistic environment...that doesnt exist.
ShyGuy65 June 12, 2012 June 12, 2012 It's not method of loci until you start attaching memories to places/objects. RBDash: It's like anything else you imagine, but tulpaforcing will greatly improve the vividity of your imagination and visualization skills. Or at least make it easier. Lucid dreams would be the only places that are like lucid dreams. >fourfic >17 >doubt it
