Spudthulhu April 15, 2013 April 15, 2013 I'll just get straight to the point. If I'm watching TV or a movie or something like that, I'll start directing what I'm seeing to my Tulpa, Maury, maybe make a few comments. But I'm worried that this could do some sort of damage to her. So should I avoid this or is it okay? Spudthulhu the Potato Goddess ~<3 And her wonderful Tulpa Maurie
Kiahdaj April 15, 2013 April 15, 2013 Why would essentially watching tv with her be a bad thing? I've said it a million times before, and I'll apparently say it a million more times; there is almost nothing you can do that is harmful to your tulpa. Everything that is harmful is obvious. Yelling at them. Feeding them fear, and anger. Really, the things that are harmful are blatantly obvious. Aside from those things, the most harmful thing you can do to them is think that what you're doing is harmful. Basically, as long as you think that it won't hurt them, it won't. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
waffles April 15, 2013 April 15, 2013 Feeding them fear, and anger Gaaah. When you say that it sounds like they can get ~corrupted~ or something. Yeah, they might feel bad but there's nothing like that going on unless you want it to. Negative sentiment in general will only hurt a tulpa as much as another person. And yeah, TV isn't going to damage your tulpa. Not at all, no chance, unless it's terrible programming in which case they may suffer mind rot like you might see the average TV viewer with. If your tulpa starts acting like a zombie then cease watching; otherwise, you're fine.
Sands April 15, 2013 April 15, 2013 When you got crazy people, crazy things happen. Just don't be an ass and you tupper won't be an ass towards you either. The THE SUBCONCIOUS ochinchin occultists frt.sys (except Roswell because he doesn't want to be a part of it)

Yes, I didn't mean it quite like that. It's just I feel that at the very least, nothing good can come of it. And I think it'd effect them a little more than other people, if during early creation. But whatever. But no, I did not mean that they would become monsters or anything stupid if you did that. Don't worry. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. Space Cat April 16, 2013 April 16, 2013 It sounds like narration. Narration generally is a good thing, and it doesn't matter what you narrate on, just as long as you're talking to them. I narrate my thoughts and actions in a video game I might be playing at the time, or what I'm reading in a book/website/forum/etc, or whatever I happen to be thinking at all. You're probably fine, man.
Viceroy April 16, 2013 April 16, 2013 Negative sentiment in general will only hurt a tulpa as much as another person. Two reasons I disagree: tulpas only have one person in their life, and your feelings are communicated through 4 less degrees of separation, increasing empathy and thus effect.
Flexionsensor April 16, 2013 April 16, 2013 If it is bad, then I'm screwed... Half of my forcing right there... "DUDE! That's wrong! You don't do that! That's like giving a kid a knife and telling him that it's a neck massager!" Shameless self promotion!
Guest Anonymous April 16, 2013 April 16, 2013 You're an exceptable thing to do @_@ You're fine. In fact, stuff like that is encouraged upon. The more you involve yourself with your tulpa, and that INCLUDES watching your Girls Gone Wild Netflix with them, then you're doing a good job. Involve them in as much stuff, if not everything you do, if you can help it. It'll make them feel as important as you know they are. Haaaarrrrrrttttt, Moon Shooter ;D
