cruse May 11, 2013 May 11, 2013 I'm pretty bad at talking for a long ass hour without going off-topic. And splushie's question is important. Are you aiming for a new tulpa owner, old tulpa owner, or potential tulpa owner who's considering of making one, or a different target altogether? Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail. Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR. Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.
Eldamaur May 11, 2013 May 11, 2013 I browsed Youtube a bit to see what kinds of things pop up regarding tulpae, and there seems to be a real lack of good information for new tulpa creators. So, the best target audience would be those that are either new tulpa creators or potential tulpa creators. Like it or not, Youtube is going to be where many go for initial information, so that's where we should make sure good, accurate, relevant information is. As it is, the first thing that pops up is the creepypasta, and I recall that when my mother researched into tulpae that was the first thing she found, which she then took to be fact. It's likely others as naive as she have done the same. Since the process of creating a tulpa is so subjective it wouldn't necessarily be as good to post videos focused on older tulpa creators, since by that time they'll already likely have knowledge of all the generalities you could cover. Instead, the introductory podcasts should point new creators towards other resources, such as this forum. I believe your status as a fledgling tulpa creator could actually be a boon, since you won't yet take for granted common knowledge older creators may have come to assume is known. You know what questions you've asked, and thus you know what questions you should be answering. So really, we don't need a podcast that caters to older creators, just one that focuses on newer or prospective ones. Just make sure you check over what you're going to podcast with some more experienced creators to make sure the information is good, and go for it! My tumblr
Lacquer May 12, 2013 May 12, 2013 Is this going to be weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, or what? I think that at the beginning of each podcast, there should be about five minutes of the same thing, sort of like an extended intro. It could be pre-recorded or said anew each time, and if it is said each time, there could be a script or just the general thing would be said each time. The topic of this section would be an introduction to tulpa, with everything in the basics detailed here for newcomers. This would cover There should be a section where the hosts (and tulpa, geddit?) answer some direct questions given by viewers. Obviously, at the beginning, there shouldn't be a problem answering almost all the questions, but this could be an issue later. Maybe there could be a site where people submit and vote on questions? Of course in this case, there would very easily be duplicate questions, and that's no fun. If this is implemented, there should be a way to merge questions, but it is getting kinda out of hand. How about just hand-read each question that is sent in, and use the ones that are independently reasked the most. There should be a section in which a tulpamancer is interviewed. There would be three parts of this. One would be a structured interview with the same questions for each guest. Another part would be another structured part with questions pertaining to that guest. Another part would be when the guest would say whatever they want, and maybe have a casual questioning bit to it. The guest would be announced in advance so people could submit questions. Also, the beginning of the call-in section would happen while the guest is still on the air. Alternatively, the guest is on the air the whole time, and these three parts are just sections of the podcast that happen. There should be a call-in section. At this point, people can phone in and ask questions, make comments, express ideas, etc. I'm not sure how the logistics behind this would work, but that should be figured out. One of the concerns with having a tulpa podcast is stagnation. To fight this, there should be a section focusing on a different tulpa concept/idea each week. There could be simple concepts like imposition or narration, to more advanced concepts like possession or switching, to other things. What I mean by "other things" is brand new ideas, things that no one has heard of before, things that are totally hypothetical or theoretical. For these brand new concepts, the person who made the idea could be a second guest on the show. Something very important in this is that it needs to have a non-faggy sounding name (sorry, I'm not sure how to phrase it otherwise). Let's just keep it "Tulpa Radio" and not try to make some cutesy-sounding name. I would do it, if I had the time or a mic, but sadly, I have neither. I could help some with organizing it and setting it up. though. I think that the idea has a lot of promise, but will be difficult to implement. I definitely foresee the hosts of the show changing, as people stop putting the effort needed into it, but as long as there are people willing to do it, it can be done.
Akiake May 12, 2013 Author May 12, 2013 Who's your target audience? Peopl who have tulpas and/or want to learn more about them,
jean-luc July 1, 2014 July 1, 2014 Can't help but notice it's been awhile..... I'll do this if no one else will. Stats is back: https://stats.jean-luc.org/ I don't visit as often as I used to. If you want me to see something, make sure to quote a post of mine or ping me @jean-luc
hbenton July 1, 2014 July 1, 2014 Here's a more recent podcast thread, jean-luc. UnknownCraos might still need some help, if you'd rather not start your own podcast from scratch.
LegendsofEgypt August 15, 2015 August 15, 2015 I must say, by the date of your post, it was made in 2013. If you still have a tulpa, I think you could make a podcast.
