Guest Anonymous May 14, 2013 May 14, 2013 I noticed that often when I forge on a chair after a while it will seem as if the chair is slowly swinging back and forth like a rocking chair. It appears to be swinging very slowly and in small arcs to the point of unrealism, but the feeling itself is very realistic. I know that I'm not moving it myself because when I open my eyes it immediately stops. The feeling just goes on and off every once in a while during a session, and I was wondering if others have similar experiences, for example feeling like being in a boat during a windy day. Are these sensation limited to tulpaforging or are they present in things like normal meditation, too? (If I had to guess I would say yes)
Kiahdaj May 14, 2013 May 14, 2013 Forge? Forging? Anyway, yes, I have this from time to time. Similar I assume it is to the fact that I sometimes feel like my bed is spinning when I'm very relaxed. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Guest Anonymous May 14, 2013 May 14, 2013 It still feels quite odd as a word, but after giving it some thought I decided it's better than forcing. I'll give it a couple of days to see if I get used to it and see how people like it, there's no reason to use another word that would just confuse people if nobody except me would use it.
KenzieK May 14, 2013 May 14, 2013 During forcing you'll experience a lot of head pressures/ headaches and going into lucid daydreaming, all of which could contribute to the swinging sensation you feel Name-Yuki Sex-Female Form1-Arctic wolf, big blue eyes Form2-Long white hair, blue eyes, pale skin, white wolf ears/tail, light blue jacket Personality-Compassionate, calm, sarcastic, playful, protective, introverted Stage-Sentient, vocal, working on possession
Guest Anonymous May 14, 2013 May 14, 2013 3 months later: there are 7 different words for forcing and the questions and answears board is flooded with new people asking what they mean. Anyway this discussion should be held in lacquer's thread about new names, not here.

(If I had to guess I would say yes) Rocking sensations are common in those who are in very deep states right before OBEs. So I guess its just showing that you are working in a very deep state or meditation state if you wish to call it that. Jesse (human male) DOB 16th April 2013 Working on imposition

Are these sensation limited to tulpaforging or are they present in things like normal meditation, too? (If I had to guess I would say yes) I've done self-hypnosis sessions where it was only 15-45 minutes, and it felt like 2 hours. I was literally mind-blown at my level of perception at the time from shifting from an alert and steady awareness to an alert and relaxed awareness. These were mostly closed-eyed hypnosis sessions where I would attempt to lucid dream and imagine being with my tulpae. Even in open-eyed visualization and other tulpa-related tasks, I find myself getting more into the moment, so in a way, the environment and objects surrounding me have slowed down tremendously. Those sensations aren't limited to just tulpaforging/tulpaforcing. Any activity where you've reached gradual relaxation and being in a suggestive state that allows you to have a higher degree of concentration in the moment can have these sensations created. And things you naturally enjoy doing are more likely to make you less focused on the perception of time as well.
