eric May 16, 2013 May 16, 2013 Greetings everyone. I'm sorry to be so upfront with this large question and few other questions, but its something that I really need to get off my chest so here it goes. I'm currently working a 6 month temp job at a shipping warehouse, 10 hour nights Mon-sat. I can only active force for a little while before and after I go to bed, it should be noted that I'm not very good at active or passive forcing. Now I do try to passive force during my shift but as I said I'm not good at passive forcing and my narration sucks, so the best I can do is to just imagine (LUNA) their walking with me, I think about her my entire 10 hour shift but I've found that that makes me very tired and flustered, it should be noted that for the past 3 days she is all I can really think about, I cant seem to get her out of my head. I also seem to not be getting any headaches, or pressure in my head, does this mean I'm not getting any progress? Plus I also tend to worry a lot, and over think things, will this hurt me in any way? So what I'm trying to get at is can I make a tulpa with my terrible active and passive forcing skills? P.S. LOL one of the reasons I ask this is because my whole life I tend to be the exception with everything, and it would be a beautiful thing if I could have a companion to help me through thick and thin. I've also been lurking here for a few weeks, looked through every forum thread and didn't see anything regarding my problems, I really need help with this. Ill be back on around 1:00 P.M. tomorrow. Thanks in advance Eric
Aarix May 16, 2013 May 16, 2013 Passive forcing is something you get better at. It took me several months just to stop forgetting they're there. If you're persistent in acknowledging them, commenting to them etc. Than it will get easier after a while. It might suit your work style better than active forcing anyway, you can always do that in your spare time. Progress report "You'll have a Tulpa because you didn't give up" -Koomer
Guest Anonymous May 16, 2013 May 16, 2013 Do you not get the head pressures anymore or did you never have them? Don't worry too much about that, some people get them some don't, it doesn't mean anything. Also how long have you been working on Luna? I say if you worked on her for less than a month then it's perfectly fine to suck at it, it will get better with time, one day you will just look back and think "wow, was I really that bad 2 months ago?" If you feel like what you are doing isn't doing any progress try changing the forcing up a bit, that's what I did. I felt like I wasn't going anywhere, so for a week I stuck to narration-only forcing (even during active sessions) and then I got back to visualizing her, too. Felt a lot better. "Progress is like dust, you can't see it accumulating with your eyes each day but over a few weeks just check with your finger and you will see that it has built up." Dunno if you're the kind of guy who gets motivated by quotes, but this one describes my forcing skills pretty well.
Weird0 May 16, 2013 May 16, 2013 On your job: I have similar circumstances and for my experience passive forcing helped the most if used often. The best way to do this is to constantly remind you of your tulpa. Thats the hardest part. You might strip connections from you work to your tulpa. Find routines in everything you do and every time you do them, think about your tulpa. The more the better. Over time this will work on its own if you put the right effort into it. Set reminders like special wallpapers on phone/pc or write something little on your hand to remind you every time you look at your hand. It might take a little while to memorize all of this but soon enough you will be thinking about your tulpa all day with ease if you want. If you master this, you're not far away from having a healthy tulpa. For narration: Relax, just think about everything you do, like you're explaining everything you do to your 7 year old brother who's never saw work. "I do this because of this". Simple stuff like that. Anything helps. Really. Not having headache / head pressure is nothing to worry about. Not everyone gets it. And don't worry about it too much. That might backfire. If you start to doubt your work this might slower your progress. Take it easy, there is nothing you can really do wrong. Ignore your useless worries and you will see how pointless they become. And whenever this hurts you or not: I can't say there are no possible risks in this. They sure are pretty rare. But if you're in a normal mental condition things might turn out well. It's like cars. They're safe to use but you can't say that you will never have an accident. But i don't want to make it sound risky. I did, didn't i? They say great science is built on the shoulders of giants - not here. At Tulpa.info we do all our science from scratch; no hand holding.
eric May 16, 2013 Author May 16, 2013 thought I would do a quick check in. I've been working on her for the past 3 days. A few points, and I don't know if any of this is relevant but here it goes. I've had a few things happen like a burning tingly feeling in my chest but that only happened once, I did feel a presence once but its gone now. When I try and talk to her ill address her by her name, now the funny thing is her name has changed quiet a bit, I call by what ever feeling I get at the time and her first name was RIKA, then KIRA, and now its LUNA lol. I'm ashamed to say this next part but yesterday I thought about stopping this whole process due to lack of results, then I saw a motivational guide here, I apologized to LUNA and then I started to cry my eyes out, maybe it was her? I will continue to active and passive force even though like I said I suck at it, I still cant feel her presence either and that worries me. Ok have to go ill be back on later. Thanks guys.

I started almost 3 months ago and I only got 1 vocal response, some even take more. Tulpamaking takes a lot of time, patience and love, just keep doing it and one day you will certainly have a tulpa.
Linkzelda May 16, 2013 May 16, 2013 Like people have stated above, it's just something you need to work at gradually. There may be other factors (genetics, physical, etc.) that make things harder for a person to do, but it doesn't mean it's not going to be workable. I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and state that people work a certain way, or at least are suggestible to things working for them when they're shifted to a certain process that helps breaks down mental barriers. Things are different for everyone, it's just a matter of you finding and filtering out what doesn't and what works for you. If you want a companion to be there with you through thick and thin, you do have to push yourself a bit more to get that result. Work can definitely be a huge distraction, especially with worrying about doing a job right and not getting fired and such, but you can make things go the way you want. There's no such thing as sucky narration, since the point of narration (in the context of the community's belief on it) is to speak out to your tulpa, no matter how random your questions and/or statements to them may be. Since you have a temp job at a shipping warehouse, find some things you can talk (talking mentally) with your tulpa related to that. Some things like: "Hey LUNA, what do you think about that chick at the office? Do you think she's a snob or kind-hearted on the inside?" "Gosh LUNA, carrying all this load is exhausting at times." "I wonder what could be inside this box LUNA." "Hey Luna, you think the outfit I'm wearing looks okay on me?" "I hope that I can meet the deadline for this certain shipment LUNA." Obviously, you can do better than what I gave, just make it a habit to do narration on the go since I'm sure your job requires you to be on your feet at times (or at least think of your feet). If visualizing LUNA is tough, maybe that's something you should do when you're at home, where you're more likely to want to loosen up and break down a few mental barriers that you had to put up at work (like not trying to make everyone think you're talking to yourself). Ninja EDIT: And like noobdreamer stated, give it time, don't expect everything to happen all at once. The least you can do is to just imagine and fantasize yourself reaching that state where LUNA is more vocal, etc. Having a deeper and more intense prospective memory helps a lot. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prospective_memory Double Ninja Edit: Also when you are at home, take some time (10 minutes is decent enough, or more), to plan out and visualizing yourself having gradual success with imagining LUNA and talking to her. Whether it's through writing things down, speaking to yourself if you can have some privacy and comfort, or even drawing things out. The more you put effort into imagining and foreseeing yourself doing well, your mind is going to shift towards that goal because it'll see that it's something you enjoy. Lacquer May 16, 2013 May 16, 2013 Work at it, just like any other habit. Do not worry. The only bad thing you can do is worry.
Tulip May 16, 2013 May 16, 2013 I can kind of picture myself being in your spot, just without the job. I remember when I first started a year ago I couldn't keep track of my progress. I would even begin to question if a Tulpa could exist even if I kept telling myself it works out. Even now doubts surface, but if I can push past them you'll have no problem. Active forcing takes a lot of time and brainpower and I can only half do it, but it's become exceedingly improved since I started up again. Everyone helping you out here has the right ideas. If anything coming to the problems you have is a good sign since you clearly show that you are still sticking with it and want help to keep going despite the problems. I really hope you work through it in time. Then Luna will be all the happier that you did. I hope my post helped you in some way.
