1. Who have you told about your tulpa(s) and how did they react?

I've told:

My mom, who is kind of indifferent about it.

My Ex-girlfriend, who freaked out. You can see why she's my ex.

One friend online, who is curious about it and took it really well.

 

2. How did you find out about tulpas?

From Chupi's blog on Tumblr. I then came to this forum and read all the guides.

 

3. Do you talk to your tulpa(s) in public/ private (with/without Bluetooth), in your head/ out loud?

I mostly just talk to them in my head, and if I do speak to them out loud, it's usually a whisper.

 

4. (Not very relevant to the main topic, but I'm still curious.) How old were you when you found out/ made your first tulpa?

I was 26 when I made Syldra. I am now 27, but I made them a couple months before my birthday.

1. I told my family, and half jokingly I tell other people. My family accepts this, seeing they know I am into some weird stuff.

 

2. I was reading a book called "The Real Men in Black" by Nick Redfern (relating to real world encounters of Men In Black, not the movie starring Will Smith) and in the book one of the theories for MIB was they were Tulpae. And the author preceded to tell the story of Alexandra David-Néel, how she created a monk like Tulpa which became evil and she was forced to destroy it. So I started to research and came across this site.

 

3. I wear headphones everywhere I go and I talk to Caleb often. Sometimes I'll talk to him without headphones.

 

4. I found out about Tulpas 2 months ago, I'm 24.

I have told no one as of yet. I don't plan on it either -_-

 

2. How did you find out about tulpas?

Through 4chan (of all places) then I came here and learned the truth of the matter. This lead me to more research from other sources, then back here for the community.

 

3. Do you talk to your tulpa(s) in public/ private (with/without Bluetooth), in your head/ out loud?

I talk to Zenyth out loud when I am alone (public/private). Otherwise I speak to her in my mind.

My sister- scared "what if it takes over your mind?"

My nephew- interested "oh I have an imaginary friend"

My boyfriend .. was very interested and often asked me questions

a couple of spiritual/wiccian internet friends- didnt give me any real response so I dont know how they think about it

 

2. How did you find out about tulpas?

I'd heard mention of what I know know where tulpas in some occultic books but they called them other terms eg sentient thoughtform beings (which were warnings about them going rogue with often the own authors experiences of that happening). I didnt know the term "tupla"for these before I found this website.

When alone I will talk outloud or in my head to my tulpa.

I may of been in my late 20s or early 30s. (Im in my early 40s now). My first was was made accidentally from a servitor I was making.

I told one of my friends early on, when I was considering it. I did not tell him I'm going forward with it. I'm not sure I will. I'm naturally a very private person so I don't plan on telling anyone unless Jade (my tulpa) asks me to. (She's not vocal yet)

 

2. How did you find out about tulpas?

 

I first saw links to creepypasta and other 4chan nonsense. I dismissed it. Later, I saw a youtube video that mentioned tulpas in a more serious light. I got intrigued, read up a lot on the subject and here I am.

I keep it in my head when I'm in public. I tend to whisper when I'm alone at home. I find that speaking out loud helps structure my thoughts while keeping it in my head unfocuses what I say and welcomes stray thoughts.

I'm 30 and I started working on Jade 3 weeks ago, so 30. :)

I've told two of my friends who are both very open minded and knowledgeable, and one of them thought it was interesting, and the other was worried, but I informed him of my progress and he became interested.

 

2. How did you find out about tulpas?

 

Several years ago from a thread on /x/. I became interested when I realized it was an actual possibility and not just paranormal shit.

I use mindvoice in public, and speak aloud when in private. We used to prefer mindvoice, but now it just clogs our thoughts.

When I discovered the concept, probably around fifteen years old. I didn't actually start working on one until last year, and I'm seventeen years of age now.

No one yet. I may tell my sister eventually, but for now I'm happy with this being my own little secret.

From some random thread on Reddit. It was mentioned, the subreddit was linked, I was interested, then I was fascinated. Now, here I am.

When I'm in public, I use mindvoice. When I'm at home, I mix between mindvoice and out loud. I've been talking out loud to myself when I'm alone for years, so I just continue that habit with my tulpa.

I was on the verge of turning 23 when I ran across the forums. I don't think I committed to creating a tulpa until I was 23, which is my age now. :)
