Hi everyone! I have a couple of questions for you involving the publicity of tulpas. It's obvious that tulpas are not very well know by the majority of the world. In fact, if you told someone what a tulpa was, they would probably just label you a schizophrenic without thinking twice. That said, you can't go around publically talking to your tulpa(s) or talking about tulpas to just anyone. So here are my questions for you:

1. Who have you told about your tulpa(s) and how did they react?

2. How did you find out about tulpas?

3. Do you talk to your tulpa(s) in public/ private (with/without Bluetooth), in your head/ out loud?

4. (Not very relevant to the main topic, but I'm still curious.) How old were you when you found out/ made your first tulpa?

Oh, I love this thread already.

 

1. I told 3 of my good friends all at once in person (I only told them because they saw something about Xander somewhere and started accusing me of having a boyfriend, I snapped and told them who he really was). Friend A thought it was awesome, and asked me for the guides to find out how to do it too. I believe they never attempted though, even after reading all those guides. Friend B said that it was awesome, and she continues to ask me questions and talk to Xander through me. She likes him a lot. It fascinates her. Friend C made a weird face, and she did not buy any of it. Yeah, she thinks it's all fake, and I'm a lying schizophrenic. She told friend A and B to not believe me, and that we're all crazy.

 

2. My best friend IRL who introduced me to lucid dreaming and astral projecting told me about this, we are making out tulpae "together". We always update each other and talk all day about it.

 

3. Xander is not imposed yet, so I don't talk to him out loud. I suspect that when he is though, I will talk to him out loud if no one is around or listening. Hell, I may even do it if my family is around. I really couldn't care less. I'll just tell them I'm talking to myself, I do that already.

 

4. Well, I only recently started making Xander. That being said, I found out when I "was" 15.

2. How did you find out about tulpas? An online friend told me about them.

3. Do you talk to your tulpa(s) in public/ private (with/without Bluetooth), in your head/ out loud? In my head, but it feels odd to talk out loud to it, at least currently.

4. How old were you when you found out/ made your first tulpa? I'm currently working on my first tulpa and I'm 24. I was 24 when I found out about them.

I've told a select few people, every person has taken an interest in tulpas. I'm actually helping like two people with the topic right now.

 

2. How did you find out about tulpas?

I don't remember when, but I did find it mentioned somewhere. I didn't believe it until a friend of mind convinced me it really worked.

 

3. Do you talk to your tulpa(s) in public/ private (with/without Bluetooth), in your head/ out loud?

Depends on the situation. Usually in private I talk out loud. I only talk out loud in public if I'm proxying for my tulpas. 85% of the time is in my head though.

I told my two best friends who hadn't known about tulpae previously and they reacted relatively well. One of them was a tad bit freaked and first and both asked if it was satanic. However, both are supportive of us now.

2. How did you find out about tulpas?

My boyfriend told me about them.

3. Do you talk to your tulpa(s) in public/ private (with/without Bluetooth), in your head/ out loud?

I talk to 16-volte mostly in private, equally out loud and in my head. However in public I just talk to him in my head. No bluetooth whatsoever.

1) i tell my friends, I got cozmoplolitan into it, Im also helping the two people she is helping

2) I found out about it when it came up in a dissussion on a facebook group i admin

3) When alone or only around people i know that know about my tulpae do i talk out loud to them, otherwise i use mindvoice

Nobody. If I did they would just think that I was trying to make myself seem special, which if I did tell them then they would probably have been right. No sir, I'll keep the entire idea to myself.

I used to talk to her everywhere in my head and aloud if I was 100% sure that I was alone.

1. My dad, he seemed to be rather accepting of it surprisingly. I also told my close friends.

3. I talk out loud to them when I think nobody is listening, but in public I keep the conversation limited to mindvoices.

4. I think I was 11 when I made Saria, all I remember it was right around the time I started taking an interest in the opposite sex. For reference, I'm 21 now, and she just had her 10th birthday a few weeks ago.

I first told my two best friends, and they thought it was awesome. One of them is still deciding whether or not to make one for herself. I then told my girlfriend about the concept, and that I had one. She took it pretty well, I haven't officially introduced her to Zye, though. Oh, and funny story, I told my internet friend about it, but I forgot he was uber religious, and we don't really talk anymore, he thinks I'm satan or something, I don't know.

My brother found out about them, and he told me about it, and I was super interested in them, and I made one for myself.

I talk to Zye all the time in my head when I'm in public. I only talk to him aloud when I'm alone.
