Nordica June 17, 2012 June 17, 2012 Are all the correct way to spell it? Time tulpaforced: 124 h 00 min Responses:(Possible) different kind of tones
ThatOneGuy June 17, 2012 June 17, 2012 I guess it's supposed to be Tulpae with the combined a and e but everyone has their own usage they prefer. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
Nordica June 17, 2012 Author June 17, 2012 Where does it say tulpae/æ is the correct way? Both Wikipedia sites uses tulpas, and most results with the word "tulpae" just leads me back to this forum. Time tulpaforced: 124 h 00 min Responses:(Possible) different kind of tones
RBDash June 17, 2012 June 17, 2012 I prefer tulpas, that is how you denote plurals in English. And the Tibetan plural will not be used, you have to add a three letter word after said plural word (I think, that's what I got after a quick Google search). ThatOneGuy June 17, 2012 June 17, 2012 It's latin or something, Nordica. No clue. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.

G|d30n June 18, 2012 June 18, 2012 Where does it say tulpae/æ is the correct way? Both Wikipedia sites uses tulpas, and most results with the word "tulpae" just leads me back to this forum. The FAQ part of the guides section addresses that, I believe. Basically, tulpa is a Tibetan word, and there are no plural and singular forms in that language. Instead they have entirely different words to mean single or multiple of something. Since people wouldn't associate the actual plural of tulpa with the tulpa community because they wouldn't recognize it, and to illustrate the fact that our concept of tulpae is different from the traditional Tibetan concet, Dane and Irish decided to make up a Latin pluralization for it. Progess on my tulpa, Lauren. Lauren's survey and stylometric test.
Pleeb June 18, 2012 June 18, 2012 Pretty much what G|d30n said. Around here you can use tulpa, tulpi, tulpæ, tulpas, doesn't matter. Spoiler An image in a signature behind a hidden tag!
ShyGuy65 June 18, 2012 June 18, 2012 If we don't have rigid and unbending rules for spelling mistakes, why would this be any different?
