Lately, I have noticed on IRC that there have been multiple people, mostly newcomers, that have been wondering what the ideal conditions are for forcing. Now, this is different for everybody since everyone has their own idea of whats comfortable for them, but I thought it would be beneficial to say what the most common conditions are that people prefer to be in.

Setting:

- Bedroom

- Shower

- Lake/River/Waterfall

- Sensory Deprivation Chamber

- Church

Time of Day: Members of the community (myself included) have also noticed different times of day that tulpaforcers usually like to be in when forcing. I have noticed that my brain works better at both hearing my tulpa and interacting with my tulpa at night time or early morning. For me, that would be any time from 8:00PM to 12:00AM, or 6:00AM to 9:00AM. It varies from person to person, however.

Lastly, some find that it is best to force in absolute silence. However some other people prefer to have some kind of sound or music playing as they force.

Soundscapes – These can help with wonderland immersion if you are struggling with that. Pick one that best suits your wonderland's environmental conditions. Adjust volume accordingly. (Adblock is recommended as ads can appear during videos randomly.)

Lake sounds -

Woodland ambiance (My personal favorite) -

Space/Void (For mobile noise machines, check out the app Simply Noise for Android and iOS devices) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcJ-o_fh1B4

Rain (For mobile use, I recommend the app Simply Rain (iOS) and Rainy Mood (Android) -

City/Urban - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EPD4K7SYqU

Beach -

Rain and Thunder -

Isotones – These help some with concentration by synchronizing the two sides of your brain to work together (at least to my understanding, I might be wrong) I had one that I would have liked to share, but it was taken down due to copyright reasons. It is here if you would like to purchase it. For these, headphones are required.

I recommend all of Kelly Howell's works, they can work wonders.

Ambient/Relaxing Music – This one can be subjective simply due to people's taste in music, however these are some relaxing songs/albums I like to listen to while forcing. I do not recommend the YouTube versions of these songs as they usually morph the audio of the songs to avoid copyright infringement. If you want to really listen to these, please acquire them another way.

Fede Tones – Fede also made some tulpaforcing tones. These give some people headaches, so use them at your own discretion.

Good resources. Thanks, man.

I will keep up with this thread and try these out and see what happens.

Sentience - fully sentient

Personality - Playful, cheerful, enthusiastic, chilled

Smell - Baileys

Stage - Narration and imposition

Yes, nice resources; I may even link it in my guide, when I get off

Or rather, on

my lazy ass, and update it.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

Oh boys, new tones. I needed to find some new ones to use anyway...some just seem to lose their effect after a while.

This may or may not convince me to get back into active forcing. I get the feeling my Tulpa is tired of me just talking to him every day without working on anything.

In my experience sitting indian style on my bed with ear buds in playing trap music at medium volume is best for me. Basicly clean music with out complicated vocals, dark enviroment, comfy position, calm mind.

Wow... I've never used ambient sound effects before, just tried it out for a short session and I felt a lot more immersed, and I swear Thunder seemed stronger and more eloquent too. Thanks a lot, I'll be sure to use these again!
