Nik November 12, 2013 November 12, 2013 I just found out about tulpae yesterday. Today I decided to begin creating one. I don't know if I'm moving too fast, but I've already kind of given him personality traits that I'd like him to have and I have an idea of what I want him to look like (just because its easier for me to talk to something when I have a picture of them in my head. I wouldn't be against him deciding to change anything.) so throughout the day I've been talking to him in my head about what I was doing or feeling and I played music for him and things like that. I just decided to sit down and really focus on him for a while and create his 'wonderland' I think it's called.. I don't have a very long attention span right now because I've never done this kinda thing before so it only lasted about 20 minutes. But now I feel like someone is lightly squeezing my head like at my temples..I've heard of head pressure but I'm not sure if that's what this is, so I just thought I'd ask. Could I already be feeling that?
LordV November 12, 2013 November 12, 2013 The simple answer is yes, you could. I know I felt a lot of head pressures when I first started making my tulpa. And yes, this does sound pretty consistent with what I've experienced and what other people have described. Btw, welcome to the tulpa forums. My tulpa Name: Tammy Sex: female Species: Anthro (red fox) Working on: imposition
Procron X November 12, 2013 November 12, 2013 Sounds to me that you are doing great! There aren't any hour amounts you are supposed to be at before something happens, so don't worry about that. My advice: Keep doing what you feel is right, and you're golden. Best of luck! Niteo and Amber Take On the World Amber speaks in italics right now. Guest Riy November 12, 2013 November 12, 2013 Welcome Nik! Everyone experiences things at different times when they work with their tulpas. Personally I have never experienced head pressure before but I know that it can be quite common when first starting out. I think this is more a physiological thing then a psychological thing. While you concentrate a lot of the time you'll flex your shoulders and neck, or you'll hunch slightly if you're sitting. These all cause clogging of capillaries in your temples / neck and can lead to a sort of 'tension headache.' Working with your tulpa should be a relaxing experience, not necessarily a 'job' experience. (Oh man I HAVE to force with it RIGHT NOW and make progress! Sort of mindset). You'll find working with your tulpa to be fun, exciting, weird, and ultimately fulfilling. If you do find yourself getting head pressure try to focus on relaxing and keep some water nearby. Focus on your breathing. Barring that, talk with your tulpa about it. I know Cosh was able to dismiss head pressure simply by talking with her tulpa 'Adi' and they were able to repair the pressure. Maybe this will work for you? I wish you the best. Stay consistent, stay positive, and let us know how things go! Cheers!
KenzieK November 20, 2013 November 20, 2013 Hey guys! So I searched for a while for what head pressures are exactly. I know that it happens when you're making a tulpa, but what causes them? Is it when you just meditate too much for too long? Or is it actually the tulpa doing it? Thanks for any explanations! Draconilian November 21, 2013 November 21, 2013 I'm quite curious about this too. I just started forcing and I'm already a headache prone person, so I'm wondering if I'll be able to tell Tulpa Name: Sceathe Appearance: Grey scaled Dragon with multicolored feathers, chameleonic scales (though he prefers grey) Sentience: Yes
Stryke November 21, 2013 November 21, 2013 I've never felt this kind of pressure from any other mental activity, so I would say it's definitely specific to tulpa creation and similar processes. The brain working hard in a way it has never done before seems a logical cause, just like how intense exercise can make your limbs hurt if you're not used to it. As for whether it's the host or the tulpa causing it, it's probably a collaborative effort from both of you concentrating hard on each other. KenzieK November 21, 2013 November 21, 2013 I've heard that they are signs that the tulpa is communicating with the host? Is this true? Stryke November 21, 2013 November 21, 2013 Ah, is that what you meant? My previous post still stands, as that was musing on the PHYSICAL causes. As for why it's being done, I think it depends on the tulpa. I currently believe in my case that pressure means either Thunderfall's presence or his attention. In earlier stages pressure can be a tulpa's only way to communicate to you that they are there. Thunderfall (goes by Thunder) Male human Melody Female lamia
Zer0.iNSaNiTY November 21, 2013 November 21, 2013 I feel there's like two different kinds of head pressures when it comes to tulpas. One is the tulpa itself giving you the head pressure, maybe trying to communicate, and the other is the brain just overworking trying to make new connections and the like, sorta like moving things around to make room for the new tulpa. I basically guess this cuz when I first started tulpaforcing I had continuous head pressure for like literally a month (soooo annoying) and I highly doubt any of my tulpas would just continuously give me head pressure for no reason whatsoever (also I asked them, actually they can't even give me head aches or pressures at will, oddly enough, however Forseen can seem to manipulate endorphins, idk). So any continuous or long term pressure you feel is your brain and mind trying to adjust, short term bursts of head pressures are more likely your tulpa. [Forseen] {Muse} |Alix|
