SerjRocketeer September 25, 2014 September 25, 2014 You know what's great about tulpas? Nobody needs to know. It doesn't take a genius to understand that the concept of a tulpa is not the easiest to grasp for most people, and many will call you crazy. Why would you basically buy a ticket to become an outcast, is that what you want? Do you think that would be something your tulpa wanted for you? I can understand if you want to tell your loved ones if you spend almost as long with them as you do with your tulpa(s), but you've been warned. It's not really rocketeer science... Ultimately nobody needs to know. It is simply a matter of being mature about the subject.
KruegerMeister October 7, 2014 October 7, 2014 I know that nobody needs to know, but my parents don't like being lied to, and I've had to lie to them when they've caught me passive forcing, or when I've been depressed about tulpa-related things.
Guest amber5885 October 7, 2014 October 7, 2014 Can't help you there. You're eather gonna have to learn to omit the truth or deal with the funny looks. When they catch you passive forcing you could always tell them that you were thinking out loud.
ThatFellowWithTheScarf October 7, 2014 October 7, 2014 I told some close friends and they all thought I was insane, one even jokes about it sometimes. Another knows what I'm talking about but I think she may have something more unintentional, I never dropped the word tulpa to her. I also told my brother, I'm really close, he's a huge dork so he responded with "You're as close to an anime character as you can get,". God I love him but he's such a neeeerd! Anyways, I'm not telling my parents cause they would likely think I'm insane and I'd end up in a padded cell. I may tell a lover one day, possibly.

Use mindvoice (speaking in your head) instead of speaking out loud. No one outside of your system (all people in the same body) can hear that, so you won't have to worry about being overheard. - Hail T, B, Frostbite, and Hail, and others (note, historically, Hail included Frostbite and B) System Name: Fall Family Former Username: hail_fall
IfWeHadSomeCookies October 9, 2014 October 9, 2014 I told my two best friends. Neither of them believe me, I don't think, though I'm pretty sure the one I've known the longest suspects that it could be true. Though he's also convinced that James is going to kill someone, AND that I've only created James because he we don't live in the same state anymore. He's mega-jealous. The girl . . . well, she's told me that she "doesn't care," but what I think she really means is that she doesn't care to hear about it. She associates it with DID and schizophrenia and whatnot. ~ until the very end His name is James. James says hi.
Piaapo October 9, 2014 October 9, 2014 ...Umm... I kinda... Told... Like everyone at our school... This was even before I had my tulpa. I started telling about them to everyone, and even got a couple of friends who became intrested in it. Now I and one of my firends both have at least 3 tulpae AND we are known as the crazy ones inour school. But I don't really care since 1. I've always known as the one with crazy ideas 2. I like it 3. Everyone in our school is weird somehow. EVERYONE. I haven't told my dad though. I'ts not that he would think I'm losing my mind, I just don't think I'd need to tell him. And my tulpae don't think it would be a good idea. ~Amicitiae nostrae memoriam spero sempiternam fore~
