ViperEye October 22, 2014 October 22, 2014 Just something I was thinking about as I am starting to force. Can your Tulpa, when imposed into your sight take on the appearence of someone you know, well enough to fool you, or do you just know they are your Tulpa?
Guest amber5885 October 22, 2014 October 22, 2014 No. They can't. When you impose you're just hallucinating what is in your minds eye, it's generally whatever form you chose. They aren't likely to just up an change into something you haven't practiced at that point. When your tulpa is developed you'll see what I mean. It takes effort to keep them in your thoughts, your field of vision and things like that so the odds that even if they did try to mimic someone you know (which isn't likely) an you would not know its them is very unlikely. If not impossible.
jackson October 22, 2014 October 22, 2014 You may want to consult a doctor, if your schizophrenia is bothering you.
Quilten October 22, 2014 October 22, 2014 I doubt that that would ever happen, seeing as there is no reason for a tulpa to do that as far as I am aware. Even though my username is that of my tulpa, Quilten, my name is Phaneron, the host, who does all of the actual posting. Tulpas: Quilten, Jira
sushi October 22, 2014 October 22, 2014 Bear in mind, your tulpa's life is linked to your own. Tulpas generally encourage their hosts to look healthy and to be healthy. If you start to look crazy, you could be locked up, and your life will suffer -- and theirs will as well. So as Phaneron said, even if your tulpa had that ability, they wouldn't want to do such things. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
Luminesce October 22, 2014 October 22, 2014 Only if you're schizophrenic. Or something similar, having suffered from realistic hallucinations in the past. For starters imposing your tulpas is a lot of conscious effort, and they don't appear "perfectly solid" unless you're a complete master of it. But even when you impose unconsciously, subconsciously you know that it's a tulpa even if it does pretend to be a person. It'd only work if you were willing to be tricked, like hypnotism. Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
raymond13557 October 23, 2014 October 23, 2014 re'ds pretty protective over me, so she/he would probably absorb the imitator of her/him, since she is a silver slime meowstic and she wouldnt let a fake friend of mine or a fake red anywhere near me. Tulpa:Snow Mindscape: Artopia
