Just keep trying. You didn't lost him/her, you just feel a little unsure. That's something that probalbly everyone of us had at some point. Just keep forcing. It took me quite a bit of time before I felt a little hint of another presence, so I guess that it is a good sign that you felt it so quickly. Don't let yourself be discouraged, it'll work out fine, I'm sure of it.

Yeah I've had Toby for over 20 years and I still doubt him sometimes, it's only natural but doubt is not the tulpas kryptonite just keep trying you'll get there.

so I guess that it is a good sign that you felt it so quickly.

Well I dunno if I felt a presence but it felt like I was talking to myself. Like it being more like a one sided conversation this time. Or may have been that maybe I couldn't really focus at the time. I really don't know.

Instead of being melancholy about how you’ve yet to have an accumulation of experiences with them that could be your own personal testament that they exist within your subjective experience, you could try to find a way to prosper from it. Creating a time scale based on how one person presumably stated it took to acknowledge their tulpa’s presence is a matter of how determined they were to actually follow through with that to make it so in their perception.

With that said, having determined thought with subsequent action with treating a tulpa as sentient isn’t something you can specifically touch and quantify only with time, and presume this can be the case for everyone else to fit that time scale. Because that would raise the question on how much awareness a person has to have to illuminate those epiphanies that they can get those constant assurances to themselves that their tulpas are gradually expressing themselves in a manner that’s consistent to what that individual personally feels means to be sentient, or even sapient for that matter.

If you felt you had a predisposition to give up, and felt their existence was contingent from how you were feeling, then it’s no wonder you’ve came to the conclusion that what little you had was gone. You make it seem that transient moments of serendipity and awe with subtle moments of them talking to you has to be this constant, and eternal streaming mode of thinking, and that any moment where there’s silence on their end, you felt you failed in some way.

This is what happens when people use moments that could be small breakthroughs with their tulpas, and take it for granted, and prevent themselves from questioning their presumptions and notions of what those moments truly meant to them, and end up creating a negative disposition on the relevancy of embarking in the journey of making and interacting with a tulpa. If it's a matter of relevancy, then that's probably something that may need philosophical inquiry in the future for you.

TL;DR:

I don’t think anyone could, in 10 days, have a system of ethics to assess themselves when they’re trying to get their minds wrapped around with several concepts. So don’t feel intimidated that one person made a claim that they sensed their presence within 2 weeks, because that’s just their own subjective experience being expressed that I guess had steady awareness of to have a determined thought into believing that is the case. Some of those individuals that can have those breakthroughs so quickly can also end up not being smart enough to turn it into their advantage to fuel themselves to go even further; having a mindset where it’s a progressive learning curve despite of whatever accumulation of experiences they felt that had with their tulpas.

It's only been ten days. Just relax. A lot of people don't feel anything for over a month.

@Linkzelda

I like the way you see it. I also see the significance of philosophical assumptions in tulpamancy (I had to make some basic of mine before I even got started).

@ZePink

I don't think you should worry. Ro is 6 months old and I still sometimes doubt that he exists or I feel like he has almost vanished. It can be really depressing but I guess when hard times come all I have to do is put some effort to make it right.

Tulpas:

Ro Tembrin (tool): logic and tease, designs solutions.

Caelum (muse): feeling and faith, creates impressions.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm still trying my best to get my Tulpa to talk to me, and he was created 10 months ago, but I still have faith and motivation to keep going, because I know I can do it. If you think optimistically and believe in yourself, you'll be able to communicate with yous in no time! Your Tulpa may not "talk" to you at first (as in words in your mind), but at least he or she will do some sort of head pressure or transfer random emotion to you signaling he/she is there. Anyways, good luck with your Tulpa, and I hope you and him/her make tremendous progress together!

Reality is a story the mind tells itself. An artificial structure conjured into being by the calcium ion exchange of a million synaptic firings. A truth so strange it can only be lied into existence. And our mind can lie. Never doubt it...

This is something that definitely improves with time. Sometimes I still feel like I'm conversing with myself when I engage Brimstone in conversation, whether it be via thought or in our mindscape. Don't give up!
