My first attempt at "necro-posting" was a bad choice and fell flat. I can see why. Okay, so that necro-posting plan pretty much sucked major wind.

But, I may be recreating old threads, with a new twist to them. The idea is to get new discussions going on older ideas originally bantered about long ago. Give me some time to use my devious mind.

Forgive me but I am seeing this as an interesting challenge.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree that it tanked pretty hard. But take caution with this challenge! No need to caused yourself any extra hate. Take in consideration that some people are just waiting to see you write something foolish and use it as more fuel to add to the pile of unfavorable experiences they have from you. Al and I have some mad respect for you because of your endless desire for information and constant questions and pondering on the forums, and we value your desire to help new members out. But there are times when your responses do get out of hand, and I can see why certain member tend to dislike you.

I'm IBreakGames, a genuine dude.

We gave up on using different colors for each of us, so there's Al, Ollie, and Eva. We're all rabbits, get over it.

Uhhh, yeah.

Thanks!

Maybe it would help if it was generally understood that I am more than half way to crazy most of the time? But, then again, maybe not? I am often misinterpreting what others have written and perceiving sinister intent that is not there. Then I react brashly and impulsively. I am frequently far too irrational for this forum. I am also extremely obsessive and compulsive. That obsessive nature created my thoughtform Melian. But it that same nature makes it difficult for me to interact normally sometimes. People have scratched their heads at my repeated failed self bans, my rage outs and the just as sudden returns. It makes sense if you put it into that context. My behavior is not completely normal and I recognize that.

Yuki noticed that my first week on the forum and tried to tell me more than once. .

Mistgod, people are rejecting you because your behavior isn't normal at all.

I think the main problem in all honesty is that most questions and theories were answered long ago in 2012-2013. Over time all the oldfags got sick of just talking with each other about how great having a tulpa was and moved on. Now there are very few oldfags left and its basiclly just new people asking other new people how to make tulpas. Nothing really ever gets expanded apon because I can only assume the new people 1. dont have tulpas yet so they cant expand or 2. are just unimagnitive.

This and oldfags dont really make topics talking about things they know have been talked about a million times over, so its normally the new people who make these topics and the oldfags are not really intrested in covering this old ground.

Ive also been in constant contact with a lot of the oldfags since 2012 and a lot of them have been telling me they feel driven away by this place now. Apparently some combination of there being nothing to talk about, the actions of new members and the general vibe this place gives off makes them think this isnt the same places as how they left it.

So they leave.

We are all mad here

@Jake

It isn't the same place. You are right. BTW, I apologize for my earlier reactions to you, but this is why I am feeling this way, exactly what you said. I have trouble articulating things in a nondrama way at times, I am sorry.

Anyway, the old school folks are right, it is isn't the same place, it is evolving. That doesn't mean we should give up on it or that change is necessarily a bad thing. There does appear to be a change or transition going on. Those of us who wish to keep it going, like you and I, could try to find ways to keep it a vibrant and helpful forum for new tulpamancers. I think it can be done. The new members are enthusiastic, but sometimes intimidated into not writing do to worry of "getting it wrong" or being labeled an attention seeker or something. I think that blaming the new people for this atmosphere is not seeing the whole picture. I think the "oldfags" need to look to themselves and their inability to embrace and guide newer members as part of the problem.

I would disagree with you on this point here. This dismissal of new members as less than legitimate by older members is an issue. I have seen this too. It is often a subtle attitude, but it definitely present and working AGAINST THE FORUM'S INTEREST.

I think new members are just as imaginative and intelligent and enthusiastic and sincere as the senior members. Honestly, I see no evidence what-so-ever that newbie members are of less quality personality and intent wise than older members. I am just not seeing that sorry. We just have to find a way to tap into that newbie energy and guide it and shape it.

See, this is part of the reason I dont like replying to you. You always twist peoples words into more sinister meanings to confirm your already deep seated bias. This is a problem thats been researched with the made up term "Micro-aggressions". If an attitude is so subtle that even the people with that supossed attitude dont know they are doing it, it doesnt exist. Theres no such thing as a bias that people dont know they have, like how you cant be accidently racist because to be racist you have to be actively hating a race.

I never said newbies were any less legit than the old members, All I said is they are not researching and expanding like the old members used to. That is a fact evidenced by the fact you needed to make this thread to start with.

Also Im just going to be blunt here. All the old members I have spoken to have mentioned you by name as a problem with the forum today. They find you hostile, condescending and hard to start a discussion with. You reply to everything so they cant get away from you. They also tell me that if they try and disagree with you that you have a small group of people who will defend you to the death and have at some points emailed other members to ask them to stop replying to you at all. In the short time I have been back, I have witnessed nearly all of this.

They feel the forum has become too much of a circle jerk and you seem to be at the center of it. Even Pleeb, the owner, who I have been speaking to recently is annoyed that the website he started has become like this.

You may claim the site is evolving, but a lot of people think its devolving and dying.

I think you have a valid point there, and it's funny enough how things turn out here. A lot of user aim for basic knowledge and are happy with it. They don't feel the need to go deeper. So what happens? Everything slows down, to the point of "dying". Now we have Mistgod, who isn't happy at all with this trend, trying to prevent "dying" through motivating new users to think about the stuff of the past. The questions older members tried to figure out by themselves. Well, it is obvious that his efforts so far are rather obstructive. He angers the old users for digging out ancient posts, and the new users mostly don't feel like looking into said ancient threads, let's be honest: if they would like to look at them, they simply could do it without bringing it up to the front again.

So nobody wants the page to die, and everybody gets pissed because everybody thinks the situation is handled the wrong way. In the end it is not about bringing old stuff up again, it is about motivating the newer users to start taking this more serious, trying to archive new levels instead of just get a basic tulpa and let it all rest. Starting to research the topic again. I don't think we can really influence the drive to do so.

She may or may not talk here, depends on her.

That is totally ridiculous and a joke.

Well, I see you will be no help for it that's for sure. I could not in any way be the root cause of the forums failure to thrive. Your blame game and defeatism is not helpful.

We will see. I am at least going to try and spark some interest. Blatant bumping of old threads is obviously a poor tactic and understandably annoying. But I think this very thread, with the number of positive supportive comments, is sufficient evidence that the forum is not finished. We are far from dead or dying.

So you dont think your constant argument starting, attention whoring and just all around dickishness could in any way be a problem for new comers?

This place isnt tulpa.info anymore, its the Mistgod Blog Site. You are a massive problem with this site and its failure to grow. You seem to think you have the best ideas all the time and anyone who argues with you is just trolling, but they are not. You have no fucking idea whats good for this site and its not your job to try and dictate the direction you think it should move in. You are chasing people away and acting like you are completely innocent just because they dont fit the profile of the kind of people you want here. You want people who only agree with you so you can take control of this place.

You are a cancer, quite frankly.
