H1ena July 13, 2012 July 13, 2012 If there is part of your memories or thoughts that you don't want your tulpa to know, is there a way to give them access to your mind but leave that part out? Name: To be determined Form: Human Method: Hybrid Time: 4.5 hours
Phi July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 Yes. You do the same thing as when you would normally 'open your mind', but put in an effort to keep the memories you don't want to give them locked away.
Maximus July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 It seems to me as though this would create trust issues if your tulpa found out Why not just give your tulpa full access? According to what i've read, their is a slim to none chance that they will hate you outright for something you've done in the past.
H1ena July 14, 2012 Author July 14, 2012 I kinda just want to leave the pornographic parts of my brain out to be honest, I don't want to like scar them from my past relations or Internet experiences. Also some of the more gruesome things I've seen I think are probably better left out so as they don't turn into somekind of depressed or disturbed individual. mordred July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 you don't have to worry about that. I'm not. and I've seen some shit. I'd rather be completely open with the being that I'm going to spend the rest of my life with. sage
justanotherguest July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 H1ena, you saw, as you said, some awful things. And you didn't turn into some kind of monster or psycho, or crazy cat lady. So why are you thinking that your tulpa will? Think about it. Are you trying to prevent rejection from your tulpa? Well, tulpa won't reject you. I am sure that simple quarrel with your parrents may affect both you and your tulpa way more than weirdest stuff you ever saw in the internet. Because you turn off PC and internet is gone. But parents are part of your personality.
NotAnonymous July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 It might just be sufficient to have a strong belief that they cannot access said part of your memories or that they shouldn't look into it. I don't think it's a good idea to do this as a tulpa is typically a life companion for most, which means there should be full trust between the creator and the tulpa.
ThatOneGuy July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 Phi answered the question well. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
Nevermore July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 You could try to block it out like Phi said, but nothing says you could block it all. Anyway, I think your Tulpa would prefer to be trusted to be able to deal with that stuff rather than not. Nonsense, just give in an effort to force 'you know all of my memories now except for all of my sexual ones, like masturbation and blow jobs'. This entire thing is mind-based anyway. Nothing is stopping you from doing stuff like this.
