Tirisilex June 22, 2015 June 22, 2015 I'm having a difficult time knowing the difference from Forcing and Puppeting.. What is the difference? Don't believe the things I say just because I tell you.. Test these things and prove them to yourselves so that you know them to be true. ~The Buddha
Abvieon June 22, 2015 June 22, 2015 "Puppeting" is something that hosts sometimes do during the early stages of creation. It is basically moving your tulpa around and making it do things under your control, often in order to help with visualization or issues with not being able to imagine what your tulpa would look like when moving and acting. It should only be done before your tulpa is autonomous, as it is very annoying to them once they are actually able to move on their own without your help. On the other hand, forcing is simply the act of spending time with your tulpa, talking to them, or developing them by working on personality, form, or vocality. Puppeting can be a part of forcing, but that is not always the case. Some people do not puppet whatsoever. I'm writing a tulpamancy / science fantasy novel! Tulpas & Tea Discord server. A cozy place to discuss tulpas, psychology and spirituality (or just hang out.)
NovaIce June 22, 2015 June 22, 2015 Can't a Tulpa move on his own sometimes? Or is it almost required? I'm guessing for some it's necessary? ~NovaIce
sushi June 22, 2015 June 22, 2015 Sometimes young tulpas can't move on their own. In those cases, the host has to puppet to be able to visualize movement. Also, some guides (Fede's especially) suggest that the host puppet until the tulpa does start to move on their own. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
Ashmo June 23, 2015 June 23, 2015 I puppeted Bud until he moved on his own. He felt like an empty doll in the beginning. I encouraged him to resist once he could and now it's very hard for me to control his movement. Eventually he started moving on his own.
