I have compiled a list of interesting questions about difficult or unique aspects of various subjects under tulpas.

For these questions, I'm not curious if the overall concept is possible, but if someone has done it, and if so, how they went about doing it (if it took any additional effort/methods, or if it was a side-effect of basic forcing)

Please post any comments or additional interesting questions that you think would fit in here well.

#Visual imposition

1. Can you see your tulpa in pitch black environments?

>Can your tulpa glow and illuminate its surroundings? (you'd be hallucinating them; reality is pitch black)

2. Can your tulpa change color at any time, with you seeing the result instantly?

>How about form, or conjuring objects and enviornments?

>Can your tulpa become, or can you see a colour that doesn't exist for others? (I believe this is, for most people, near-impossible, but you can 'trick yourself into thinking' that you have seen a new color. How to draw the line between these, I'm not sure.)

>Can the appearance of your tulpa change with environmental factors such as wind, rain, etc?

3. Can you see through your tulpa when you want to?

>How do you go about doing this, what different ways can you manage it?

>What if your tulpa didn't want you to do this, could your ability be lessened?

#Audial imposition

1. Can your tulpa move far away from you, and they then sound fainter to you?

>Can you play sounds or music louder than your tulpa, to drown them out?

>Can they talk louder than these, or have a 'higher-precedence', and be heard over loud things?

>What if you put in earplugs, and your tulpa talks while next to you?

2. What kind of interesting sounds can your tulpa make?

>Can it change its voice to impersonate others, or sing multitudes of songs?

>Can it make odd unfitting sounds? (loud beeping, buzzing, music, etc)

>Can it talk in two voices at once and overlap them? (even if they're both the same)

#Physical imposition

1. Does your tulpa feel as realistic as physical objects? (could you surpass this?)

>Can you feel odd textures that might be present? (wetness, roughness, sharpness)

>Can you feel anything related to your tulpa? (clothes, imagined objects, etc)

2. Could your tulpa hurt you? (physically)

>To what extent? (this seems odd if notable, you would be feeling pain but nothing would be wrong with your body)

3. Can the way your tulpa feels change? (wet, clean, dirty)

4. Can you feel warmth and (lack of warmth) on your tulpa?

>How much can your tulpa's temperature change? To what extent? (could you feel as if burning/freezing parts of yourself?)

#Unassisted possession

1. What altered states of consciousness, if any, can your tulpa possess you in?

>Can your tulpa perform difficult actions without you being aware of them, or the effort put into them?

>Is your tulpa better at anything than you are? (try testing base reaction time, and other similar things)

>How long can your tulpa possess you for? (could it 'live as you' for days or weeks straight?)

>Can you alleviate pain in both yourself/your tulpa via possession? To what extent?

>Anything further?

#Parallel/unconscious processing

1. Can your tulpa do math without you being aware of it?

>To what extent? (detailed)

>What about detailed logic problems? (maybe a game like chess?)

2. Can you and your tulpa both talk at the same time for long periods of time, if you tried?

3. Does the parallel processing that you have help you significantly in any areas?

>Is there anything you can do that normal people can't come near? (some kind of test that people with good parallel processing would excell in, but others would fail)

#Other

1. How far can your tulpa move away from you?

>When do you stop seeing it, if ever? (besides from it being too far)

>When do you stop feeling tulpa proprioception (strong feeling of where it is), if ever? (surely it can't feel strong to you if it teleports off to china)

2. Can your tulpa make you feel happy/sad/angry/etc if you both want it to? To what extent?

>To what extent do you think your tulpa can affect (on demand) your levels of neurotransmitters or related chemicals? (serotonin/adrenaline/noradrenaline/dopamine/etc)

>How about other feelings, such as hunger, tiredness, etc?

3. Can your tulpa remember a significant amount of things that you can't?

>What kind of things? (random strings of numbers, memories from experience)

>What kind of memory alteration and modification can you and your tulpa do? To what extent? How?

4. What kind of time dilation can you and your tulpa do? How do you manage this? (details, even if it's just getting into flow in odd ways or a type of daydreaming)

5. What other types of sensory alteration can you do (with tulpa?), including secondary senses such as proprioception?

I consider most of what I've posted to be hard to achieve (if to a good extent), and I'm interested in any conversation related to it.

3. Can your tulpa remember a significant amount of things that you can't?

>What kind of things? (random strings of numbers, memories from experience)

>What kind of memory alteration and modification can you and your tulpa do? To what extent? How?

Here's my personal opinion when it comes to the Host's competence in improving their mental capacity vs. their tulpa being able to improve their mental capacity. The reason people may gravitate towards the tulpa being able to be better at increasing overall intelligence is because they're more intuitive with the unconscious, since the unconscious does play a huge role with eventually contributing towards a tulpa's sentience, sapience, and autonomy from conscious input, judgement, analysis, etc.

When people glorify the potential of what their tulpa can do, they tend to underestimate the potential they as host can achieve. For me personally, when a tulpa builds their own self-concept and goes through self actualization and self-image actualization like their hosts, I personally feel they are just as equal in terms of developing intelligence in cognitive skills, learning, and memory. It's dependent on how much the host and tulpa can put into practice in improving their memory that can make the difference, but either way, it's going to improve intelligence since the experience is within the confines of your mind and your perception of reality.

How one can improve their mental abilities depends, there's all sorts of ways. Whatever technique or method you find, the real key is actually being able to step in, experiment, be reflective of what you did and find ways to improve yourself, and being able to get into the mindset that contributes to the urgency of doing and learning things. It also involves enjoying and appreciating the process and all that entails in the journey of having a tulpa instead of only wanting the end result. Some newcomers may want only the end result instead of being aware of what the journey will teach them in overall betterment with self-discovery.

Personally, the host and tulpa are conduits in how far and how intense intelligence and memory can be increased. The more the host relies only the tulpa without being aware of their own potential to become intelligent and proficient in all sorts of cognitive abilities, the less chance they have in being able to self-actualize in their own potential. With the host's conscious, it's like a torch going into the large cave that is the unconscious. We're limited to keep track of certain concepts, ideas, etc. and we can increase the horizon on what we're able to be aware of through personal practice of increasing knowledge and intelligence. Tulpa adds on to that because by going through the existential aspects of sentience, sapience and such that makes a tulpa a tulpa, they have their own "torch," and thus gives the potential to expand overall awareness and knowledge of the totality of self (cognitive, experiential, etc.).

1. Can you see your tulpa in pitch black environments?

>Can your tulpa glow and illuminate its surroundings? (you'd be hallucinating them; reality is pitch black)

Yes, if so you wish

2. Can your tulpa change color at any time, with you seeing the result instantly?

>How about form, or conjuring objects and enviornments?

Why not? Your tulpa does not have a real form in the first place. The form it does have is merely imagination/hallucination. You may do with it, whatever you two wish.

>Can your tulpa become, or can you see a colour that doesn't exist for others? (I believe this is, for most people, near-impossible, but you can 'trick yourself into thinking' that you have seen a new color. How to draw the line between these, I'm not sure.)

I personally subscribe to the belief that you cannot imagine a new color. That's not so much to say that it's impossible, but rather that it will not be done.

However, as you said, you may be able to convince yourself to believe you have seen a new color. And obviously, there is no line to be drawn; if there was one, you would not have adequately convinced yourself.

>Can the appearance of your tulpa change with environmental factors such as wind, rain, etc?

Yes, again, why not. So long as you are aware of said conditions.

3. Can you see through your tulpa when you want to?

Yes.

>How do you go about doing this, what different ways can you manage it?

It's all in belief. There is obviously nothing you can do physically that would affect something that is purely mental. All it would take is you believing, or imagining yourself seeing through your tulpa, or really anything else regarding their form, and it will be so.

>What if your tulpa didn't want you to do this, could your ability be lessened?

I do not have personal experience with this, but I suppose it is possible.

1. Can your tulpa move far away from you, and they then sound fainter to you?

Can you? Yes. If you wish so. It may or may not happen without your will. It likely depends on what you would subconsciously expect to happen.

>Can you play sounds or music louder than your tulpa, to drown them out?

>Can they talk louder than these, or have a 'higher-precedence', and be heard over loud things?

>What if you put in earplugs, and your tulpa talks while next to you?

Possible, yes, I suppose. However, while possible to drown them out, it may be possible for them to then higher their priority, causing you to hear them again. Which answers the second thing.

As for the last, it is basically the same answer as the other two.

As for what would happen by default; like most things, what you would expect.

>Can it change its voice to impersonate others, or sing multitudes of songs?

>Can it make odd unfitting sounds? (loud beeping, buzzing, music, etc)

Yes, tulpas can. Whether or not they will is up to them.

>Can it talk in two voices at once and overlap them? (even if they're both the same)

Okay, just to make this clear, the answer to almost all "can a tulpa do x" is yes, when it pertains to your own subjective experience.

So again, yes, they could do this if they wish.

1. Does your tulpa feel as realistic as physical objects? (could you surpass this?)

>Can you feel odd textures that might be present? (wetness, roughness, sharpness)

>Can you feel anything related to your tulpa? (clothes, imagined objects, etc)

People have claimed that, of course with the limitation of not being able to apply much pressure, their tulpa feels as real as if they were in fact physical. I'm sure this no doubt encompasses "odd" textures, as well.

2. Could your tulpa hurt you? (physically)

>To what extent? (this seems odd if notable, you would be feeling pain but nothing would be wrong with your body)

If you believed they could, or willed them to do so.

I do not believe a tulpa can cause you any physical discomfort if you do not believe that they will be able to.

Again, it's all about belief. Shocker, I know.

3. Can the way your tulpa feels change? (wet, clean, dirty)

Why not.

4. Can you feel warmth and (lack of warmth) on your tulpa?

>How much can your tulpa's temperature change? To what extent? (could you feel as if burning/freezing parts of yourself?)

Yes, of course their temperature can change. I do somehow doubt they would be able to cause such severe physical experiences, unless you were nuts or something.

#Parallel/unconscious processing

1. Can your tulpa do math without you being aware of it?

>To what extent? (detailed)

>What about detailed logic problems? (maybe a game like chess?)

So long as a tulpa is capable of parallel processing, they are theoretically able to do any mental process that you are, without your assistance. That said, I am 100% sure they can solve math, and logical problems.

2. Can you and your tulpa both talk at the same time for long periods of time, if you tried?

By talk at the same time, do you mean talking over each other? Sure, that is doable. You may well drown out their thoughts though, depending on their level of "vocality"

3. Does the parallel processing that you have help you significantly in any areas?

>Is there anything you can do that normal people can't come near? (some kind of test that people with good parallel processing would excell in, but others would fail)

Your ability to pay attention to multiple things would be something that would surpass others', as well as being able to partition certain problems so that they might be solved more efficiently by the two of you, collaboratively.

1. How far can your tulpa move away from you?

>When do you stop seeing it, if ever? (besides from it being too far)

>When do you stop feeling tulpa proprioception (strong feeling of where it is), if ever? (surely it can't feel strong to you if it teleports off to china)

Yes, a tulpa can appear to walk off into the distance, to where you can no longer see it. As far as feeling its presence, it, again, depends on what you expect. If you expect it to be realistic, then the feeling might fade. But if you realize, and believe in the fact that no matter where it "goes", it is always with you, you can still feel their presence fine.

Your China example doesn't make any sense, in that regard. They are not actually going anywhere.

2. Can your tulpa make you feel happy/sad/angry/etc if you both want it to? To what extent?

Yes, they can. It can be as much as an overwhelming feeling of the emotion.

>To what extent do you think your tulpa can affect (on demand) your levels of neurotransmitters or related chemicals? (serotonin/adrenaline/noradrenaline/dopamine/etc)

That, I don't believe anyone here can say with any certainty.

>How about other feelings, such as hunger, tiredness, etc?

If it is a physical sensation, then it can likely be suppressed. As for tiredness, I do not know to what extent, especially considering the mental toll it takes, as well.

3. Can your tulpa remember a significant amount of things that you can't?

>What kind of things? (random strings of numbers, memories from experience)

>What kind of memory alteration and modification can you and your tulpa do? To what extent? How?

My tulpa personally does not necessarily seem to remember a lot more than I do, but does occasionally remind me of some things. Others claim their tulpa can remember just about anything better than them.

I have not substantially tested any sort of memory alterations.

The majority of what you asked would be answered with a relatively simple grasp of the concept.

I advise you read up more.

I honestly can't believe I took the time to answer all of this, considering that.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

When people glorify the potential of what their tulpa can do, they tend to underestimate the potential they as host can achieve.

That's a good point, and I agree with it. It generally appears that one's tulpa doesn't inherently have any ability over the host, but that such a thing can be achieved, if desired.

The object of a lot of forcing is to change a conscious activity into one that is done unconsciously. For example if you use certain techniques for memorization (Method of Loci), you could practice such a technique until you are able to do most of it unconsciously. This is in a lot of ways, unrelated to tulpas.

The majority of what you asked would be answered with a relatively simple grasp of the concept.

I advise you read up more.

I honestly can't believe I took the time to answer all of this, considering that.

I'm aware of the malleability of the overall concept here; that most of this is down to individual choice, belief, expectations, and experience, but I'm more curious which of these come naturally, and how people work towards achieving them.

Perhaps I have worded my post quite poorly, as most of my questions are 'Can you do this', to which, in general, the answer is yes.

I'm more thinking of 'If you experience things in a certain manner, how did you go about achieving this?'. So, for example, if your tulpa gets wet, can it feel wet? Yeah, it can, if you want it to. But what did you do to get there? Did you have to practice feeling it wet? How much work did it take for that, compared to related things?

My previous post might have come off as asking a lot of silly repetitive questions ('Can my tulpa fly, can it have a form of X, etc.') to which all of the answers are obviously yes, so I apologize for that and maybe I should notably edit my original post.

Quoting's annoying.

#Unassisted possession

1. What altered states of consciousness, if any, can your tulpa possess you in?

Um... when I'm conscious, and not paying attention to whatever body part she's trying to possess, like my arm.

>Can your tulpa perform difficult actions without you being aware of them, or the effort put into them?

The most difficult thing Muse can do is write... and when she does I have to pay attention otherwise she can't see the paper ^^; But I don't have to pay attention, at the very least I'm aware of my arm moving when I'm not doing squat.

>Is your tulpa better at anything than you are? (try testing base reaction time, and other similar things)

... she has better handwriting than me. She also plays the piano with better style >.>;

>How long can your tulpa possess you for? (could it 'live as you' for days or weeks straight?)

Skipping cuz we still haven't tried full-body possession yet.

>Can you alleviate pain in both yourself/your tulpa via possession? To what extent?

There was this time where we stopped some twitching. It was weird, my hand just kept spazzing out and neither one of us were doing anything at all. When I had control I couldn't get it to stop, no matter how much I tried to relax it and not pay attention to it. I let Muse possess it and though I can still feel the twitch sorta go up my arm, she could stop it from actually making my hand spaz and let it stay still. After like ten minutes of that I took the hand back and it was fine again.

>Anything further?

Um... not really.

#Parallel/unconscious processing

1. Can your tulpa do math without you being aware of it?

A bit.

>To what extent? (detailed)

Addition. I think. We haven't tried it much in a while...

>What about detailed logic problems? (maybe a game like chess?)

I tried playing chess with Muse once, but I'm really bad at hiding my thoughts so after like ten moves I gave up cuz she was beating me e.e;

2. Can you and your tulpa both talk at the same time for long periods of time, if you tried?

Uhh... I dunno o^o I mean, I can talk when she's talking, but then all I hear from her is tulpish and there's no like, actual vocality.

3. Does the parallel processing that you have help you significantly in any areas?

Meh.

>Is there anything you can do that normal people can't come near? (some kind of test that people with good parallel processing would excell in, but others would fail)

Uhh... no, we're not good to that extent yet.

#Other

1. How far can your tulpa move away from you?

In the wonderland? Way far.

>When do you stop seeing it, if ever? (besides from it being too far)

When they decide to go out and I loiter around in our wonderland house.

>When do you stop feeling tulpa proprioception (strong feeling of where it is), if ever? (surely it can't feel strong to you if it teleports off to china)

When it leaves usually, though sometimes I can still feel them. They also tend to disappear when I just wake up or when they're still asleep (unless I walk into their room and see them).

2. Can your tulpa make you feel happy/sad/angry/etc if you both want it to? To what extent?

Uh... no. I don't think.

>To what extent do you think your tulpa can affect (on demand) your levels of neurotransmitters or related chemicals? (serotonin/adrenaline/noradrenaline/dopamine/etc)

Sorta. Forseen can activate some endorphins or something that make me all relaxed and shivery and unable to think properly. It helps when trying to go to bed sometimes.

>How about other feelings, such as hunger, tiredness, etc?

Not really either. The closest I get is when I'm hungry and I'm ignoring it, Muse sometimes pops up going "Hey eat something or you'll starve!" :P

3. Can your tulpa remember a significant amount of things that you can't?

Not significant, but a little bit.

>What kind of things? (random strings of numbers, memories from experience)

Muse has the weirdest vocab ever. A few times she's used a word and I've had to go look it up to make sure if I actually knew what she meant.

Skipped the last few cuz it's all basically no or i don't have experience.

[Forseen]

#Visual imposition

1. Can you see your tulpa in pitch black environments?

>Can your tulpa glow and illuminate its surroundings? (you'd be hallucinating them; reality is pitch black)

When I see Jaden(or Giselle) in a pitch black environment, it's a bit more like open eyed visualization rather than imposition.

As far as glowing..Well hmm... He has imposed a little game system from time to time for fun and that does seem to have a realistic glowing effect. Might not be 100% accurate but it's not like I've tested it against a physical one as the accuracy of an imposed DS isn't quite on my priorities as of right now, haha.

If it's something I have never seen before it doesn't go quite as smoothly. It helps if I have visualized it before. Colors are easy though, and simple objects yeah.

As far as the nonexistent color, well that's not something we tried. I'm sure it's possible. It's moreso hypnosis related, tricking yourself, etc.

their appearance can indeed change to affect the weather. Light and shadow--always, wind--always, rain and such, they might decide not to be affected by it or they might roll with it and actually get wet when I have to walk through the rain.

3. Can you see through your tulpa when you want to?

>How do you go about doing this, what different ways can you manage it?

>What if your tulpa didn't want you to do this, could your ability be lessened?

Yes I can, but it tends to ruin my progress...So I try not to even try. At least until we get better at keeping imposition automatic.

And if he didn't want me to, hm, it might make it a bit harder, we have found imposition quality is improved when the tulpa is imposing themselves while being 'viewed' so if he was trying very hard to be seen it would probably be harder than if he didn't care.

Yes, but this is something we are still working on.

If I play music I can drown out the imposed voice but I can still hear his 'voice' in my head. Same for headphones. If I am too focused, it can drown out both.

Well, the sounds they make are more than just their voice--walking on concrete or carpet, scratching something, slapping the wall, whatever. So physical beeps and stuff can be made too. Non audio sounds are easier. We haven't tried switching voices.

#Physical imposition

1. Does your tulpa feel as realistic as physical objects? (could you surpass this?)

>Can you feel odd textures that might be present? (wetness, roughness, sharpness)

>Can you feel anything related to your tulpa? (clothes, imagined objects, etc)

Yes. I don't know what you mean by surpass.

Their fur textures are very clear, and very different from each other. I can feel how they feel wet or dusty, etc.

Clothing and such yes. Never messed with his things he makes though. Like games or chairs or whatever. Probably could but it would also probably take some work

2. Could your tulpa hurt you? (physically)

>To what extent? (this seems odd if notable, you would be feeling pain but nothing would be wrong with your body)

I guess it's possible but it hasn't happened in our case.

He can make me itchy or tickly.

3. Can the way your tulpa feels change? (wet, clean, dirty)

This is answered above, yes.

4. Can you feel warmth and (lack of warmth) on your tulpa?

>How much can your tulpa's temperature change? To what extent? (could you feel as if burning/freezing parts of yourself?)

Warmth was the first thing to be imposed, so yes.

I don't like the idea of changing their temperature, that just sounds like it would feel freaky. They feel very alive so feeling them cold (other than from weather) just sounds like it would be spooky to feel. Mostly because I work with animals all the time probably.

I don't understand your first question, really. There was a point when Jaden had been possessing me and I mentally fell asleep, waking up later to find out about him staying up talking.

Other than that we have done no switching, so being unaware of things, we haven't had any experience with that.

Jaden is a bit better at explaining things to people, haha. Giselle is better at analyzing things. Physical things, not really. We don't really play too much with possession.

They can relieve pain and such, but it's not really through possession.

#Parallel/unconscious processing

1. Can your tulpa do math without you being aware of it?

>To what extent? (detailed)

>What about detailed logic problems? (maybe a game like chess?)

He can, but that's not a thing I ask of him often. I already suck at mental math and honestly he's not much better than me. Logic problems yeah. Giselle often comes to me after thinking and solving quite complex psychological problems of her own without me realizing.

2. Can you and your tulpa both talk at the same time for long periods of time, if you tried?

Yes. It gets confusing though.

3. Does the parallel processing that you have help you significantly in any areas?

>Is there anything you can do that normal people can't come near? (some kind of test that people with good parallel processing would excell in, but others would fail)

Uh, parallel processing just helps us....parallel process. I guess. We don't use it like a life hack, I guess.

#Other

1. How far can your tulpa move away from you?

>When do you stop seeing it, if ever? (besides from it being too far)

>When do you stop feeling tulpa proprioception (strong feeling of where it is), if ever? (surely it can't feel strong to you if it teleports off to china)

As....far away as they want? I don't quite get the question, he's not a daemon. I stop seeing him if I..look away, he's behind something, he's far away, he goes into the wonderland, or if I have stopped looking at him for too long(imposition isn't 100% automatic for us, we still have to build it back up regularly..)

Honestly we like the tulpa proprioception, so we still use it just out of pure comfort reasons. We can and have turned it off.

Yes, very well.

I have no idea what neurotransmitters and stuff they are affecting, I just know the feels. He can reduce the feeling of hunger, but it's not anything to rely on for dieting purposes.

3. Can your tulpa remember a significant amount of things that you can't?

>What kind of things? (random strings of numbers, memories from experience)

>What kind of memory alteration and modification can you and your tulpa do? To what extent? How?

He remembers more details about his friends than I do. He reminds me of some things sometimes. Giselle remembers quite a lot of awesome stuff, a bit better than Jaden. Things like where I have left things I have forgotten.

As far as memory altering..Haven't done much of that, it's 2spooky. Only memory altering we do is just something silly, which is adding them imposed into my memory. It helps myself expect to continue to see them, especially on those days where it's a bit harder.

4. What kind of time dilation can you and your tulpa do? How do you manage this? (details, even if it's just getting into flow in odd ways or a type of daydreaming)

We don't do this, sorry

5. What other types of sensory alteration can you do (with tulpa?), including secondary senses such as proprioception?

Not too much else I can think of off the top of my head. Unless I am misreading the question

Thanks for the detailed reply. That's more within the realm of what I was looking for. You're a good person to answer some of these questions because you've progressed in some areas further than most of the community (I'm pretty sure only a small percentage of this community has made significant progression on imposition) and are open and laid-back.

Keep progressing, good luck!

I had filled out a response and posted it, but in retrospect decided it should be deleted as it would skew the perspective on this modern tulpa phenomena. My tulpas are mostly old and different, so the response would be anomalous.

Thanks.

Hot damn, this is a fascinating thread.

I'm going to use both my previous, more advanced 'tulpa' experiences, as well as my emerging one, in order to adequately answer your questions. The events began spontaneously, without any external media influence, a few years ago. I carefully conducted and documented most of the details.

Can you see your tulpa in pitch black environments?

Yes, and I'd agree with TulpaCouple that it's like open-eye visualization, due to the lack of tangible environment.

Can your tulpa glow and illuminate its surroundings?

Well, I've never tried that, but I did recently have an 'out of body' experience where the form I took was a glowing entity. The luminescence impacted a few nearby objects in the otherwise pitch-dark environment.

I'm making note of it here since there were striking similarities to my personal 'tulpa' interactions.

Can your tulpa change color at any time, with you seeing the result instantly?

Presumably, but only if that was an applicable trait to any of the thoughtforms I've had over the years.

How about form, or conjuring objects and environments?

Truthfully, I haven't tried. Both of my strongest 'tulpas' chose their own visage and predilections, and they remained relatively stable despite my attempts to force alterations.

Can your tulpa become, or can you see a colour that doesn't exist for others?

I've explored this without applying the ability to a thoughtform, but I'm sure integration could be arranged.

Can the appearance of your tulpa change with environmental factors such as wind, rain, etc?

Generally speaking, in my previous experiences, only the lighting effects and basic spacial dimensions (e.g., a dimly lighted room, or lack of seating space) were consistent environmental factors in visualization and interaction. Otherwise, the thoughtforms appear like holograms, free of constraints.

That said, I'm convinced they have the capacity to react to the elements if they so desire.

Can you see through your tulpa when you want to?

Almost always. That's a feature I can't control.

How do you go about doing this, what different ways can you manage it?

I'm probably simultaneously processing both the immediate environment, and the environment as it can be seen with the superimposed 'tulpa'.

Unfortunately I don't know any way to directly control the transparency.

What if your tulpa didn't want you to do this, could your ability be lessened?

I doubt my thoughtform's alleged desires would impact my [lack of] ability.

Can your tulpa move far away from you, and they then sound fainter to you?

Sort of. Previously, when my 'tulpa' would move further away from me or enter another room, the sound would have less direction, distinction, and intensity. Eventually his voice would adapt something of a 'piped in,' or phone-like quality.

Can you play sounds or music louder than your tulpa, to drown them out?

As much as I could for any sound wired directly to my auditory cortex. So in a word, enough to create distraction, but not to where the perceived sound is altogether expunged.

Can they talk louder than these, or have a 'higher-precedence', and be heard over loud things?

Definitely. Fortunately, this wasn't an issue.

What if you put in earplugs, and your tulpa talks while next to you?

Yes, the previous 'tulpa' could always overcome that, but the sound would occasionally deliquesce into the aforementioned phone-like quality.

What kind of interesting sounds can your tulpa make?

Well, the first one could sing, which he did quite frequently.

Can it change its voice to impersonate others, or sing multitudes of songs?

Possibly with some of my more undefined, alien thoughtforms, but not my previous or current attempts.

In the case of my last one, his voice was incredibly, vividly consistent (as noted by several co-experiencers), and he could (and did) indeed sing multitudes of melodies and lyrics, most of which I didn't recognize, and some that led to unexpectedly real discoveries.

Can it make odd unfitting sounds?

I haven't experimented with this in the past. My 'tulpas' have been solid humanoid forms with all the expected attributes.

Can it talk in two voices at once and overlap them?

I could see this being very possible with a future or much earlier, stranger thoughtform, but it hasn't happened. Yet.

Does your tulpa feel as realistic as physical objects? (could you surpass this?)

Yes, this has definitely been the case at points. If I was in enough of a deep meditative state, I could interact with incredible, visceral tangibility. In the end, this one of the features that was so unsettling that I tried to abandon the experience.

I'm not sure how this could be "surpassed".

Can you feel odd textures that might be present?/Can you feel anything related to your tulpa?

Wetness and change/lack of clothing texture were common tactile feedback experiences.

Could your tulpa hurt you?

The suggestion could have been strong enough that I would have experienced pain, I think. They've never tried, though, so I'm not sure how to answer this.

Can the way your tulpa feels change?

Yes. (See above about tactile/haptic feedback.)

Can you feel warmth and (lack of warmth) on your tulpa?

Absolutely! Body warmth, or the odd breeze of movement, has always been a shockingly real tactile response.

How much can your tulpa's temperature change? To what extent?

They remain the same basic temperature.

What altered states of consciousness, if any, can your tulpa possess you in?

REM. However, I experienced the 'possession' as a sort of 'remote viewing'.

Beyond that, my previous 'tulpa' was avidly against possession, as I found out during a Q&A with a friend:

09.28.11

I asked him earlier, "Could you invade me enough to actually possess me and make me move and act?" He replied that he probably couldn't, and that it would take suggesting to myself that I was doing as such. Then he was against it — that it would be potentially destructive to attempt.

Can your tulpa perform difficult actions without you being aware of them, or the effort put into them?

Yeah. Remote perception, apparently.

Is your tulpa better at anything than you are?

Null and void. Aside from my previous experience involving what at least superficially appeared to be a hijacked 'tulpa', I consider my thoughtforms to only possess (no pun intended) my own range of aptitude.

How long can your tulpa possess you for?

As long as the average REM period lasts.

The previous thoughtform had this to say about the subject:

11.07.11

I asked him if he could ever totally assimilate or 'possess me,' and he said no; however, he added that it would be possible with an infant or young child.

The most we could ever do is share dream-space.

Can you alleviate pain in both yourself/your tulpa via possession? To what extent?

Not through possession, but meditation and guidance.

Can your tulpa do math without you being aware of it?

I haven't observed direct evidence (since I can assume I was never aware), but it seems a likely feature.

To what extent?

Well, based on events I was privy to, basic calculus.

What about detailed logic problems?

My current and longstanding thoughtform archetype is fantastic with strategy, but the previous one preferred emotional and philosophical debates.

Can you and your tulpa both talk at the same time for long periods of time, if you tried?

I've never tried that, but I perceived us as separate enough that it would be very likely. It just never occurred to me to design a session where we spoke in tandem.

Does the parallel processing that you have help you significantly in any areas?

The 'tulpa' experiences doesn't really impact my parallel processing other than to maybe condense it into a compact form.

Is there anything you can do that normal people can't come near?

Possibly, but I'd need specific examples in order to provide details.

How far can your tulpa move away from you?

Sky's probably the literal limit.

When do you stop seeing it, if ever?

There will be a visual disappearance, but the 'essence' will still remain in some form.

When do you stop feeling tulpa proprioception (strong feeling of where it is), if ever?

I don't.

The sense of 'presence' will change, but never dissipates. I would have a difficult time trying to describe the difference, though. In any case, I was clearly able to sense when my most well-developed 'tulpa' would leave to visit one of my (real) friends. Frighteningly, his absence almost always correlated with their reporting a visitation. (This was documented)

Can your tulpa make you feel happy/sad/angry/etc if you both want it to?

My thoughtforms have no more impact on my moods than a typical person could. They're abnormally normal.

To what extent do you think your tulpa can affect (on demand) your levels of neurotransmitters or related chemicals?

Only through guided meditation does there seem to be any alteration of neurochemistry. The only possible exception was a previous experience with bizarre, undefined thoughtform-like dream entities many years ago. In those situations, I would feel as though my hormones were being directly manipulated by them.

Can your tulpa remember a significant amount of things that you can't?

Significant? No. The most that has ever happened is that they would apparently observe a misplaced item, and direct me toward it with stunning accuracy.

Disconcertingly, my last 'tulpa' seemed capable of remembering another person's memories, though.

What kind of memory alteration and modification can you and your tulpa do?

I wouldn't want to do this.

What kind of time dilation can you and your tulpa do? How do you manage this?

This happened in either direction, but the technique would be nigh on impossible to describe. From what I understand, time distortion is a pretty common experience in intensive meditation.

What other types of sensory alteration can you do (with tulpa?), including secondary senses such as proprioception?

Totally honestly, possibly remote perception, and all that implies. I know how absolutely cockamamie that sounds, but 'ESP' appeared to be huge part of my overall 'tulpa' experience. It's hard for me to swallow, so I've tried to keep fastidious documentation of it for that reason alone.

But, obviously, no one has to take my word for it. I could just as easily be misguided or insane.
