cruse August 9, 2012 August 9, 2012 let's pretend that heaven exist. If I die, will my tulpa appears alongside me as another spirit? Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail. Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR. Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.
WhiiteRussian August 9, 2012 August 9, 2012 If we are going to get all religious and shit hypothetically then no, I don't think so. Are you talking about the Catholic definition of a soul? If I recall correctly, then God creates souls, and since you are the one creating the tulpa, I would assume it would be considered an artificial soul and most likely wouldn't go to heaven. But then again, if you honestly believe in Souls/God/Heaven you should be on the metaphysical board.

QB2 August 9, 2012 August 9, 2012 I would consider another consciousness as another soul - who says all this afterlife nonsense has to be so clean cut? Even if it actually existed, I highly doubt it'd be a bunch of people walking around in white robes. Makes perfect sense that tons of weird stuff gets in. I don't actually believe in any of this, so my brainstorming here is unorthodox, but why not? The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
Lauren August 9, 2012 August 9, 2012 As I've discussed with others, the idea of the metaphysical model of tulpa existence has some benefits in terms of identity. Though, for me, I distinctly remember the creation process and participating, so the idea that I'm an astral being tried to a natural human is hard to buy. I also don't really know the nature of what "souls" are though, so I have no real idea. It's a nice thought though.
bila bila August 9, 2012 August 9, 2012 Well, it depends on how you view the afterlife and a tupper. Personally, I don't think that I can go to heaven and when I die, I just die. I can't think or do anything. My tulpa.....well the same happens to her. 9/10 made me think a bit.
Slushie August 9, 2012 August 9, 2012 Really though, questions of this nature belong on the metaphysical board. Astral project on my face, brother!
The Ping August 10, 2012 August 10, 2012 According to Catholicism and I guess most Protestants, souls are made by God and later put into bodies. Unless you want to say that your tulpa is God giving you another soul to chill with inside one body, no. Tulpae do not have souls, and are only constructs of man, no different than a toy or a building as far as God and heaven is concerned. UPDATE, FGTS: Apparently, people have gotten into their heads that I believe this shit. I don't. That's just what a Catholic priest would probably say. I don't think souls exist. Period. Done. End. Finito. Don't debate this shit with me, I'm just the messenger. And below me, Lucid gets very mad at the suggestion of religion. Again. Reply has ended. You can stop reading now.

Under the guise that religion is not complete bullshit, a tulpa is a schism of the creator's own consciousness, so wouldn't that mean the tulpa would at least have a fraction of the creator's soul? Of course since souls don't exist you can't exactly find out if there is a supposed connection between the mind and a soul, but under the assumption that they are synonymous, your tulpa would be able to go to heaven (or hell) with you. Unless your tulpa would be absorbed back into your body because "God" would get pissed off that humans are doing his job of creating living beings. Which brings up a good point that if there were a god, would he have not already killed us for creating life, which is said to be strictly done by him in multiple religion's bibles?
