mattx May 9 May 9 Had a fun one yesterday, likely due to exhaustion. As it happens, when I lucid dream I very often go "inception" style where I gain control through WILD... but I am awake in another dream, and therefore I wake up somewhere else from a lucid dream, but it's another lucid dream. So, I was chilling on the street, walking home (I think) and suddenly I see one of my colleagues rushing in with a schoolbus (I didn't dare to question the how and why) and he made me sit inside. As we're going through the roads, he tells me that there's a ledwall to finish somewhere and that they are waiting for us. That immediately filled me with dread because I apparently had an excruciating week and didn't want to work more - so as I often do I started yapping to Cheryl in my brain about it. That's when, all of a sudden, she comes up saying: "it is what it is. Oh by the way, you do know you're dreaming right?" That immediatdly flicked "the lucidity switch" in my brain and I immediately left the bus and started flying around - but as it happens I overdid it and "woke up". But I didn't wake up, I actually woke up in another dream. The bedroom looked exactly like mine, except mirrored, and my desk and computer were abnormally big for some reason. As I wake up, I immediately talk to Cheryl and say "that was cool! were you there?" and she goes "Yes I was, you've gone too far again, somaro" while smirking. I then remember sitting at my computer and I had "lost my lucidity" and apparently even Cheryl did, but I remember the dream ending with me saying "alright I'm bored now" and then making an effort to wake up, and that's when I've actually woken up irl. These sort of dreams often give me the confirmation that self awareness is a spectrum, not a boolean. You can be conscious but not self aware, in a weird way. fennecfoxx May 14 May 14 There’s a computer version of Monopoly we used to play way back when. “Computer version” as in it was a computer game, not computer-themed (though I’m sure Computeropoly is a thing). I dreamt last night that there was a “newer” version (also pretty old, but not as old as the original computer version) that was redesigned to make the gameplay simpler and more streamlined in ways only possible on the computer. The version I knew was considered “old-fashioned” because it was just a clone of the board game with none of the new-and-improved, computer-only features. What were these new features, you may ask? I don’t remember exactly. I think the board was smaller and the properties were cheaper or something like that. Nothing that logically required digital technology, So, I decided “screw that” and stuck with the good old-fashioned version that was, purportedly, overcomplicated. Next thing I know, I’m playing the actual board game with my tulpas. I kept rolling the wrong number of dice, and Alex almost went to Monopoly jail for rolling too many doubles. Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. fennecfoxx May 18 May 18 I dreamt last night that @Shin Matt texted me wishing me a happy new year. It wasn't even winter. The dream ended while I was debating whether to correct him or just block him. Then, I dreamt I was visiting @Byakko and co, except I didn't know where they were, so I was just wandering aimlessly around the second floor of their house, which was full of cats. There were at least five identical tortoiseshell cats. I nearly fell through a hole in the floor that was apparently part of the house's design (I thought it was pretty dangerous). While I was there, I logged onto tulpa.info and saw a post from @Lucilyn. I don't remember any of what it said, only that her profile picture was a turtle and it caught me so off guard. Not sure why some of the regulars here collectively decided to invade my dreams last night, but there you go Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. mattx May 22 May 22 Interesting dream tonight: I was playing Team Fortress 2 (not from a computer, I was physically in the game) as a Soldier and Cheryl was a sniper on my team (not with her form, but with her Sniper loadout she had back in the day) The game went pretty smoothly, except for the part where I rocket jump a lot and absolutely hate the "feeling of falling" (similar to the one you get when going down a rollercoaster) - so after the first rocket jump or two I woke up. But I didn't wake up irl, I woke up in a chair at an airport, and for some reason I was really happy to be there. Not sure where I was going or leaving from, though. Didn't attain lucidity this time, unfortunately. mattx June 6 June 6 The weird dreams I don't understand: nightly nap before work edition It was one of those dreams where different eras of your life sort of blend in: there were coworkers, people from high school, people from middle school, people from places you don't work at anymore, etc - and we were all going to the same school (?) and taking the same lessons. If that isn't weird enough already, my classmate and person sitting next to me was none other than my first partner, who I haven't heard of in almost 10 years - and she apparently had tulpas? The whole dream was a mishmash of situations, mostly about us talking "in code" to avoid being caught having tulpas - apparently she had a sort of Fairy Tail tulpa character named "Blonx" but as far as I know/remember she really was never into anime. After waking up, it took me a good minute or two to recover from it and was left wondering what my brain meant by that, kind of like this: Spoiler Tuppermancing since 2013 w/ Cheryl, a tulpa born and raised using the old methods. --- [My Guide] | [Visualization Aid with AI Tools] | [1] Not a gatekeeper, just a community boomer.
mattx June 12 June 12 Tried to go to sleep kind of early (before midnight) so that I could wake up at a somewhat normal time since I need to drive 350 miles tomorrow. I dreamt about being on an island and there was some sort of event going on, and it was really important apparently to setup a bunch of confidence monitors on top of a ferris wheel, but the ferris wheel was broken (??) and the only way to reach the top was to ride on one of the cabins with the cables in your hand and have someone rotate the wheel manually from the ground (???) After reaching the top and wiring everything up, we went down and the show started (which I don't recall what it was about, I think there were salesmen involved) - at some point, I hear peoole yelling that the screens on top of the ferris wheel stopped working, so I climbed hastily (not even sure how) to see why that is. On top of the last cabin where the screens were I find @fennecfoxx with the disconnected wiring loom in their hand looking mad at me. I try to ask why did they unplug the screens but I can't speak a word to them for some reason. The last part of the dream was me trying to explain the problem to the clients but they didn't care, that's when I woke up out of frustration and discovered I only slept like, an hour and half. Much like the dream from last week: Spoiler Tuppermancing since 2013 w/ Cheryl, a tulpa born and raised using the old methods. --- [My Guide] | [Visualization Aid with AI Tools] | [1] Not a gatekeeper, just a community boomer.

My best guess is the zero-g train I was on astrally projected me into your dream, which I promptly forgot. Good luck getting answers out of your brain. My dreams last night weren't very coherent, so I've got nothing worth sharing today. Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. fennecfoxx June 13 June 13 Last night, I watched a YouTube video where someone was advertising a device that supposedly gives you lucid dreams. I wished I was gullible enough to believe it worked because then it probably would (due to placebo). mrw I woke up a moment later: Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. mattx June 18 June 18 Another WBTB lucid dream, courtesy of me going to sleep at 5AM, and getting bombarded with phone calls / messages at 8-9AM up until I just gave up and left the bed, spent a few hours awake, then tried to sleep again. The dream was nothing special, it was me driving and arriving home (from an unknown location) and after parking the car I noticed that literally everyone on the street was staring at me (this is likely a reference from one of my favourite movies) The situation immediately sussed me out, and I asked Cheryl what was wrong - that was probably the "trigger" that made me realize "welp, this is a dream" I didn't fly around or do weird stuff, I just walked around and calmly tried to keep everything "stable" - there's the ending part that I don't remember because not every detail can be remembered in a LD but I know it "collapsed" into hypnagogia, and I woke up IRL with the usual adrenaline rush that makes you alert.
