At times like this, i'm fairly sure Saph changing her form constantly is purely out of spite for all the times I ignored her...(;_;)

Thanks for your help, gentlemancers, and fair tulpas, May I ask one last question of you fellows, my tulpa senpai(s)?

How exactly would one strengthen their senses for this type of work, and does imposing work similarily to visualizing?

Tough question. I think i would try some "remembering and reproducing" at first, on the sense you're trying to impose. Like, let something touch your hand for a while, put it away, remember how it felt and try to feel it again without something actually touching you. Same could be done with smells, or sounds, i guess.

Edit: Later you could ask your tulpa to try to reproduce it.

I kind of understood that terminology to mean the same.

Like, that visualizing is part of imposing. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding you.

And, hm, I don't know.

I learn to hear Rina better over time just by talking to her a lot...

... but she's the one who does the imposing. She's the one who appears visually when- and wherever she feels like it, I have no control over that aside from asking her to do or not do it.

I also feel a distinct warmth when we touch, but I don't know why or how.

So I can't give advice here... ^^

And she's not around atm, so I can't ask her to give you advice either.

Sorry. ^^

Greets,

PS: I don't even know if she does the "Felix hears my mind-voice from the direction where I am in relation to him when I'm around visually" on purpose, and she's not here to ask her - I just know that it's not me who makes that happen. So I have no idea about that either ^^

Fade: I kind of agree with the people that say to do it when you're ready, but...

If you want to develop a skill, it's never a bad idea to at least start trying right away!

Troy: It does not matter what it is. Writing, drawing, imposition, and so on, any skill will take time to perfect. This reminds me that we need to start working on this more ourselves. Fade managed to limitedly impose some of us a few months ago.

Fade: And now I'm reminded of my inverse-imposition thing... Need to make a thread for that sometime...

A queer soulbonding system with tulpamantic influences.

Imposing a drawing? Like, a 2D piece of paper? Or do you mean imposing otherwise 2D characters. Because I don't think many people have done the former, but the latter is quite common. Some people seem to have trouble, but most of the time it's not much of an issue. Personally my only issue is my poor visualization skill, I haven't had any trouble seeing them as 3D though.

I mean, do you guys really imagine your tulpas in your mind as 2D? Because I don't.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

Poor visualization skills? I know dat feel. I recall people mentioning how artistic people are great at visualizing, but I suck at it. =_=

Nah, the character herself is 3D, but the picture is 2D. This is going to get confusing really fast...

Yah. I have a hard time understanding your new question to start with. I guess you want to know, how people are doing, when they try to impose/visualize a drawn version of their otherwise 3D tulpa, or something else which is 3D.

So for me...i think it is quite easy. It won't help, though. I can't draw for shit :D

Ahdunno. Rina "imposes" herself, but she still looks like a 2D anime character... only animated with a $9,999,999,999,999 budget, or so.

Sooo... yeah.

To get you a better idea about it: Visualisation is basically anything which refers to make your tulpa visible, be it in your wonderland or wherever. Imposition would be visibility through hallucination (optical here), in the best case fully controlled by your tulpa. It may be hard to seperate where regular visualisation ends, and imposition starts.
