I think this is really the last time I will discuss this issue in depth. I am, quite frankly, tired of it as well. It is important though to understand, at least for me. Melian is central to my life and so now is tulpamancy. I have to figure things out as to what I believe and why I believe it.

 

Thanks for the clarification of "how we perceive reality." I think that is what I meant by "subjective reality."

Honestly, I don't know why either. But once I am convinced, I will be just as tenacious on the side of sentience. Now here is the thing, this might be interesting to you, this is a sentience recognized by tulpamancers only. It may not be objectively true to the rest of the world outside of the tulpa community. Melian my be sentient to me, and that is my reality, but to my mother, she will never regard Melian as sentient.

 

That doesn't really matter.

Anyone can perceive anyone as non-sentient if they decided to.

Just because your mum decides not to perceive Melian as sentient, which is also likely fueled by strong social and ethical bias, that doesn't change a thing.

Again - no matter what we perceive, reality is what it is, and all we do is perceive and defend our own truths.

I might not be of much use to tuppermancy newbies because I simply stumbled into suddenly having a tulpa that might as well be one someone developed and raised over years, but have no actual experience and am, simply put, a goddamn tupper noob...

... but that also means I'm all the more glad to contribute when it comes to philosophical or ethical discussions. ^^

Actually, I have changed nothing about my base views about Melian and thoughtforms and tulpas really. All I am doing is compromising and agreeing that what others are perceiving as reality or "real sentience" is valid and subjectively true, in a sense, for them.

While others seemed to make you a personification of many negative things, I always saw you as the individual that forced me to use my brain for once, and really tackle the notions I held on tulpas, and to advance myself further in the journey. You were one of my greatest, friendly rivals, and I loved how you always stuck to your philosophy, even when others hated your very existence because of it. Your belief system was a wonderful contrast the community needed if they saw it in context of understanding that the tulpa concept can be just as much of a stalemate as any other thought-forms people have certain labels on. I quietly watched the nightmare you endured, and even though I wasn’t a complete fan of your inner workings in the forum, you still were a good opponent to casually talk things over.

Well, as should be clear, I'm always glad to join in on a discussion as long as it's fruitful.

Especially when I see there's an "opponent", and that this "opponent" is either intelligent or easy to shut down.

Or both. (As was the case once or twice here. Hehe. xD)

 

But yeah.

I think not many people are as willing to discuss sh*t as you and me, or at least not in such length.

 

Even Rina isn't; I had a long talk about all sorts of political, religious and ethical stuff with Lumi over Skype, and she legit asked me to just stop it already because it annoyed her.

 

It didn't seem to end. They just kept going and going without getting anywhere.

The forum members should be celebrating. They don't realize it yet, but this is a huge turning point in Mistgod-Melian to Tulpa Info relations. LOL

 

Yuki will say my views and opinions and claims change every week. Well, I can see how it may seem that way but it is a superficial impression really. Melian has never changed. What I am experiencing has never changed. I am just trying to sort it all out socially. How do we relate socially? Unfortunately for many, I do that by talking about it. A lot of peoples say they have learned things or figured things out for themselves by talking it out with me though and reading our rambling posts. Sushi and Linkzelda for instance have both said this at one point or another and they are not the only ones.
