So, hosts and tulpas, what are your resolutions for the new year?

I wish to improve myself and become a better person, for my tulpas, and for myself.

Ah, I'm too tired. I only came here to help.

That's {a bad resolution were there no more thought behind it}. That doesn't actually mean anything. Your brain doesn't know what to do with that. "Become a better person" to your brain roughly translates to "It'd be nice if I were this vague jumble of things that I'm not". Not trying to be rude, just letting you know that that vagueness is exactly why nobody ever follows through on their resolutions. "I'm going to lose weight" / "become a better person" / "manage my money better" etc., none of those mean anything to your brain, none of those will affect how you function. You have to be much more specific, as annoying as it may be to lock yourself into such things, it's generally the only way you'll see results.

I was actually going to make a thread for this, for myself, tonight. As of a couple days ago I've implemented some pretty big changes for me and my tulpas, but I need some time to type it up. Hopefully it inspires others to do the same, but I'll probably just get "I too would like to improve my relationship with my tulpa and be less lazy." Specificity..

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

That's the worst resolution I've ever heard. You realize that doesn't mean anything, right? Your brain doesn't know what to do with that. Oh. I just don't want to bore everyone with my own drama. Exposing my problems needlessly for you to understand what I mean by that is pointless. It only creates the image that I am an attention seeker, melodramatic, or even both at that. Which I am not. My thoughtstream isn't included in every post I make here. People have problems, hardships they need to go through, but I feel no need to be specific with the public of tulpa.info. My wish is not as dull as it seems like, though, but if I went in too much details, it would be troublesome to my image on the forums and the way I come off. Sharing your resolution for the new year was never truly supposed to be in full details. I understand that a wish like that came off like 'I wish for world peace' or even 'I wish for happiness in my life!'. Being too broad with your resolution, as you said, won't do any good. But in the meanwhile, I know what I want in specific.

Well, I am working on my problem of procrastinating school work as of now. I hope to get rid of it before we're well into 2016.

Ah, alright, just making sure. The OP just seemed a little too concise. I wish you luck.

I don't make new year resolutions, I've no problems with me being a bad person 365 days a year. When I would need to say somethink it would be "find more time for Alice", since I feel like we need to do more things actively together. I mean, I am already trying my best to implement more activities like drawing or letting her write a story and stuff like this.

Tulpa: Alice

Form: Realistic Humanoid/Demonic Creation

She may or may not talk here, depends on her.

I'm not a person for special beliefs, superstitions and the like.

So I don't really do that.

You, Esterina?

Not really, no.

Greets,

A New Year's resolution is just you saying "Whelp, didn't do X this year. I should try harder next time." It's like a birthday - technically nothing special, but if it didn't exist, you'd never remember to celebrate your existence. A lot of people need a special event to give them the motivation to start doing something(s) they really should've been doing but weren't.

CRAP! I duplicated this thread! My apologies.

I got it! My New Year's Resolution will be to not make duplicate or redundant threads to another thread someone just made and stuff.
