Um, so, heard about this tulpa thing and decided to give it a try, daydream alot anyways so thought itd be easy, turned out yeah, like, imagning the person being there but I am kinda narrating their replies but, intrusive thoughts still messing stuff up, like worried they will turn out to be a malicious dick, say stuff nasty & heavily clashing views, that stuff, not really if id hurt them, but worrying so much about them becoming a bad person that they DO become a bad person, any tips to cope witht hat? or would i be better off not doing this

I would suggest hanging back and doing some more research. There is plenty of information on the forums to answer your questions, and get a better idea of what the process is all about. I lurked for weeks before beginning my Tulpa as I soaked up concepts, read guides and began to understand the positives and negatives of having a Tulpa. You should meditate on your own mind for a while and understand your own thoughts before you attempt to create anything.

To answer your question though, it is extremely rare for a Tulpa to become a bad egg like you describe - the only legitimate cases of "tulpas gone bad" that I have read were caused by previous mental instabilities or diagnosis.

A little bit of context about myself I guess...I mean I should still do more research and thinking about my own head more before I try again but..I have autism so most of my life has been spent more in my own head than reality, daydreams and such, and have made up quite a few different people as like ultimate companion/lover but never attempted to project them as if they were a real being there with me, I mean from what Ive seen Tulpas are kinda like that but in somes not really. [edit: so when i found out what a Tulpa is , like my daydreamed people but almost like a real thing, it sounded like a blessing and i got really intrigued].and the little I did, I think for just starting its not a very good method, but pictured them being in same room wiht me and I narrated a shallow conversation back and forth with said imagined person. The 'tulpa' if you want to call it that yet, basically is Chloe from life is strange, i didnt intend it be specifically her, just orignally a generic punk-rocker tomboy but thats what she started be imagined as, kinda on her own

Hey, welcome to the community by the way :)

Sounds like you don't have anything to worry about, but I am rather new at all of this myself. As far as I know Tulpas are loving and generally nice... if not a little sassy. It also sounds like you will have no problem giving them the care and time they deserve so that is a plus as well.

Thanks!

and one more thing, I dont think Im doing it right to begin, sounds like most people just think about tulpa's personality itself, what have been doing is imaging the figure with me and and creating a conversation between me and her, but is all by me, like...parroting I think? Isnt...that like rather frowned upon?

You've got the best screen name I've ever seen.

Parroting and puppeting are as good as any other route as long as you know when to let go of the reins. Also no, it's not frowned upon, it's just that some people find it hard to stop when they're puppeting & parroting, so they don't use that method all that much. You do what works out best for you.

Keep in mind that personality is completely optional, I didn't force my toop's personality and he is coming along pretty fine, if I do say so myself. Like I said before, do what feels the most natural to you and things will work out eventually. Every individual has their own differences, and they take different paths, so don't worry that much about what others do.

I literally had no idea what to make so I just did that, I thought it was silly honestly but x3, I'll be honest, I think the biggest thing for me here is -- now I am not saying I am skeptical of this, i am very aware that the human mind is a very powerful and complex thing so I have no doubts that this can be done -- It's just hard for me to comprehend the idea that my image of Chloe sitting there, can eventually get up and talk to me without me actively thinking she is, indepandently of me as a crutch

I was serious, though. It reminds me of that Deathclaw you could talk with in Fallout 2. Was he also a companion..? Gee, my memory's getting worse. Now, as for the real topic:

I was also a skeptic when I first started. I finally got rid of the unhealthy part of it when my toop started to give signs that I was waiting for. It takes a lot of faith and belief though, and it's completely understandable if you're not up for that yet. Taking a bit more time reading and drawing your own conclusions about this stuff may help you before you make a commitment.

I wanted someone in my head with me as it gets lonely being mentally in a different place than everyone else, but, it does seem to have a lot of responsibilities, I should def do more reading before I really get any more serious about this, but I'll probably keep projecting her occasionally.

[Addition: As I said this is sortaa a characte from a video game however I did not originally picture her form as Chloe, thats just what kinda turned into, so like, if it is actually the tulpas decision (despite it occuring day 1) maybe she WANTS to be like chloe? And I am aware whether I fully intended it or not, this will not be same Chloe that is besties with Max Caulfield, not Chloe Price, a slightly similar but different Chloe , and never will be what she is based on, and thats perfectly fine]

If that's what she wants, then yeah, it sounds perfectly fine to me. Basing tulpas characters off from already existing characters is fine as long as you don't expect them to be THAT character and not their own person-- and you seem to understand that, so why not?
