i'm so sorry about the title i have no clue why it's called that (nvm that i made the post) but anyway has anyone ever tried playing social deduction games with their system? we've been considering trying to do this as an exercise for hiding our thoughts from each other, which we've been working on recently, but (aside from logistical difficulties like telling everyone their role without a moderator) does anyone know if it's possible/has anyone done this before?

our main plan for having a functional game even though everyone can access the knowledge of everyone else's role is having people try to think as if they didn't know, but some of us aren't sure that would work at all so we're asking about it here!

also sorry if this is the wrong forum

We do not condone in organized crime, but what you are referring to is called "memory separation" which is kinda frowned upon in the modern community, I wouldn't suggest bothering about it for playing games.

There's plenty of other games you can play together - Worms is one example.

Why not give it a try and see how it goes?

We as a system don’t believe these kinds of games are possible without either dissociative barriers (which we don’t want to build) or doing it like a roleplay where we pretend to only know what our characters know, so we have no experience to share. The latter could be fun, though.

Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. Whatever the case, the OG gang’s still here:

Host: fennec (they/them)

Tulpas: Alex (he/him) and Kayleigh (she/her)

Delete all memories of those who know my awkward past

We haven't played that kind but we did try card games once or twice. It was fun but a little difficult to separate thoughts. We pretty much just pretend to not know what the other is doing but it's been a while since we've done something like that. We also have played Risk a few times and we mostly played turn by turn and didn't think too much, lol.

Wish I had more to say but I figured I'd share our experiences. Bottom line, it's worth a try at least. 😁

One of my other half @Nightfall's tulpas. I'm always happy to chat! (✿^‿^)

Here is a link to a post of my form.

And here's a link to my system mate @Linda Supernova's account!

The each roleplaying a character recommendation would work, while not actually effecting "memory separation" (which I don't think is a good thing anyways) each of you playing different characters with your own things to keep track of should still be good for development in various ways

Hi. I'm one of Luminesce's tulpas. Unlike the others, I don't think I stand out too much from him personality wise.

I'm just special because "I'm a tulpa". So I don't think I've much to offer, here. I'm happy enough to just be with him.

we're not trying to have fully separate memories, just to be able to keep secrets from each other if we want (i trust my headmates to not abuse this power if we achieve it and they trust me, so this shouldn't cause too many problems)

all these posts are very helpful though thank you
