My Melian has theme music, special lighting, and sound effects that accompany her when I perceive her in my mind and when she communicates with me. For instance if she tells a joke there is the sound of drums and cymbals and even canned laughter. She gets little bubble popping sounds and little silly spurts of flute music when she makes a silly face or does something silly. Although in my mind she looks like a real live human being, she is very animated like a cartoon character.

I was wondering if any other hosts get similar "special effects" coming from their tulpas? I can't be alone in this. I mean if you hosts, as a human beings, could go around being enhanced with special effects all the time wouldn't you?

I had an accidental tulpa whose face was censored. She wasn't headless, I...think...and projected very vividly as in I had a sense of how tall she would be if physical, but just try to look above the neck and my mind would sort of just go "Nope! No, no, no, no, no. Nothing here!" I can't even say it was blurry or blacked out. It was more like those optical illusions that rely on the blind spot? She made it so my mind's eye's blind spot was always where her face was.

Lusmore has an aesthetic. He can also project (not all me hearties do), and fits well enough in here, but is most comfortable in the maritime Wonderland. He's so comfortable in it that he takes it wherever else we go. Not obviously, like finding a brigantine in the middle of a street. More like things just start to randomly, subtly get a bit more maritime. Smelling an ocean breeze in the middle of a desert, for one example. This does not happen with any of the other pirates. There are like...seventeen of them. Only with Lusmore does this happen.

Interesting. I wonder why she wanted to remain faceless?

That is really cool! Yeah I knew it. I had a feeling this was something some other tulpas were doing out there! Good for Lusmore! Very creative.

Um, Liz can shapeshift into a few different forms, from full human to full fox. She can also spawn in objects or visual effects when she is imposed to punctuate herself, and she can change her clothing at will.

Shaide on the other hand lowers the light level in an area around himself just by being imposed and will often walk around outside my sight range talking about the things he sees. Especially when I'm working he likes to follow the servers around the restaurant and haze on the customers for being ugly, fat, dumb ex. Whenever he feels like it he will also return with images of what he sees to me, though I can't force him to sometimes when it would actually be useful.

We all also play a game called chi sao, a sensitivity training drill common to wing tsun, a conversative game of attacks and counters driven by feeling and reflex.

Shaide can also access my extremely damaged nerves in my legs and left arm, nerves that usually can't feel anything, and relight them with any type or amount of feeling he pleases; ranging from minor itching to mess with me, to crippling nightmarish pain to motivate or punish me.

Also, though we have never switched willingly, Shaide can channel his energy through mine, physically altering me in a few ways to be more like him. Increasing aggression, turning my fur black with white tips instead of the regular orange and white, and altering my mind to more of a feral monstrous one.

I'm not really sure if any of this counts...

I have pokemon named after my tulpas and they're all shinies, so when I send them out they sparkle for a second and are otherwise alternate colors. (ie. Reisen, Tewi)

Otherwise... no? Unless you count their appearances always being relatively untouched by whatever activity they do. No messed up hair or outfits or anything. Lucilyn recently got to walk around my forest-y home town (primarily in a place like this) and thought that if she had her own body she'd need to have a ton of duplicate outfits because she'd be ruining them constantly. My tulpas are a bit too fancily dressed to always wear that stuff around casually, but it all stays fine in-mind.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

OH pokemon are cute and I love sparklies!

I so understand wanting to be dressed frilly fancy all the time (feminine frippery) and not having to worry bout getting dirty and mussed up! Yep! There are advantages to being imaginary beings.

Interesting. I wonder why she wanted to remain faceless?

Probably because she couldn't face it.

*sigh* Jean-luc

I do know that we don't allow Michael Bay to do our special effects, because there would be a lot of explosions. So I don't know what you mean by special effects, even after reading how others responded, lol.

It seems it's more of "Do Your Tulpas Come With Special Aesthetics?"

Oh c'mon Linkzelda! What is it with you and waffles always twisting the semantics? Instead of answering the questions you always make things more complicated and so sorta dismiss our threads as incomprehensible when in fact they are usually quite block headed simple. You didn't understand even after reading the other responses? Okay special aesthetics then for you. Does your tulpa come with special aesthetics or not?

Remember, I cannot know your beetle in the box. Some modes of grammar and language can be understood in a reflexive manner for some, but not for all. I even made an inference over an alternative to special effects, and through that inference, we made a connection over the point of the thread. It's just a clarification thing that was settled, but since you gave me something to base this on:

Yeah, they have special aesthetics to them, but I'm not sure if it's inherently special as in special snowflake special akin to special, unique, or OC to an adoptables post on DeviantArt, or other communities for example. But I will say, "Yes, they do." This could be condensed to special features, or preferences, or tastes, or beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but yeah, that would be going through a gym of semantics. I wish I could change my vote, oh well.
