*sigh*  I bet that felt good didn't it?

I think that most methods are fine, but using drugs, especially illicit psychedelic drugs that can be harmful, are not the best choice for most people to put it mildly.

In my opinion it depends on the substance. Anything except entirely natural drugs can't be verified without test kits, so are therefore dangerous unless you get the test kits. As far as mushrooms, peyote, etc. Those drugs have been studied clinically, have very low toxicity ratings, and I would say have more utility and pose less danger than the average alcohol consumption that people engage in socially.

Yes I have to admit finally that there is something to that argument about the level of toxicity in peyote and mushrooms. Still, I don't want my high school students feeling they need to get high to do something amazing with their lives and their mind. That is why I am so militantly against advocating drug use as a tulpa creation/enhancement tool.

We have so many issues to overcome with our youth. They have so many things stacked against them these days. Young people are still developing emotionally and cognitively. For the love of God let's support positive behavior and good, healthy choices for them. Why do we need to advocate illicit drug use for them? If a student of mine wants to make a tulpa, I would support it, but if they want to make a tulpa using mushrooms I won't.

So I put out the message that in my opinion, if people use these drugs to create a tulpa, I am unimpressed with the results they want to report during and after their high.

As far as reasoning and the logic of feeling that way goes, I completely agree with Mistgod. Although we're slightly less 'militant' about it, we more try to 'influence away from' while explaining the 'lack of legitimacy' than state it as 'morally incorrect'.

@TulpaFox:

I would still exercise stern caution. Although toxicity may not be a significant obstacle, I'm afeared of what effects may be incurred upon one's psyche if such items are consumed, even for purposes of self-exploration. If one cannot practise restraint or absolve any out-standing issues within their own minds, I cannot see typical psychedelics like psilocybin or L.S.D.-25 amounting to anything productive in the least. Even if one has no immediate concerns regarding their mental health, I think the differentiation between altered states of mind are simply too much for some without adequate preparation.

Getting into that, it's true that an awful lot of people who turn to drug use are exactly the types that are not in a good place mentally and stand to be harmed the most.

Everyone likes to think themselves perfectly healthy recreational users. But there are undoubtedly many more that are in it for escapism of some kind, or something similar. The reason the recreational users get flak is because they create an environment that makes it easier for those with unhealthier reasons in mind to do so too.

Remember: if you can't say "no", "just stay low". Know what you're taking, your dosage and your source. Common knowledge, yet there are too many instances of even one of these items going deep south and turning something potentially edifying and life-changing into a brain-tenderising, nerve-shattering Hell-ride. I highly suggest the EROWID INFORMATION VAULT, as it not only contains particulars according to a registered substance's chemistry and legality, there is also a wealth of subjective experiences and treatises for one's consideration (both of which were infinitely helpful in my ascertainment of subjects like Olney's lesions in regard to Dextromethorphan consumption).

P.S. sorry O.P. I'm sure you're well-aware of the ramifications of the drug game by this point. Maybe the moderators could split the general drug discussion posts between myself, Tewi, Fox et cetera to a dedicated tulpa-drug activity thread?

after the drug use i fell into depression for like 4 days. the hardest i ever had. i never felt so lost. went to a doctor told him about the abuse. he checked my heart and told me everything was fine.

thats something i will never do again for sure.

it also fucked my brain pretty hard to have a tulpa that fast. i couldnt trust her/denied her existence while depression. but today everythings cool.

@loxar:

well duh. I told you that taking that much ecstasy will burn out your serotonin reserves.

Don't make the mistake in thinking doing more will help, either. If you keep doing more M.D.M.A. without spacing out your doses properly, it will take what little supply isn't used in your neuro-chemistry and exhaust it completely. Then you'll want to take even greater quantities to get that good high, but further cripple your ability to not feel like complete shit. A vicious cycle.

Well, he pretty much called it. Sorry about the depression. I hope you fare well from here. It's best to take tulpamancy slow, one step at a time, without too many worries or expectations.
