I think the solution is to push tactile imposition to the max. Also, there's nothing wrong with possessing your shared body.

When imposing, it's kind of possible to use another person as a sort of guideline for visualizing or otherwise experiencing the tulpa, but it's... uh... kinda uncomfortable for the imposing tulpa and, I'd think, also for the person being imposed upon.

 

See, when I impose, the point is that I'm able to move around and interact with the real world, at least in the perception of the body's senses. So, yeah, I can see how it could help with visualization to use a real person to help impose on, to help with seeing shapes, shadows, and whatnot. But it gets weird, fast. Taking up a place held by another living person is just... uncomfortable, at least for members of my system. Not sure you'd have the same feeling, but to me, I impose to take up my own space, not to overlap with someone else's.

 

I'd think it'd be even squickier if that outerworld person were moving and talking while I was imposing over them, because then I'd basically be at their mercy. Even if I were imposed over them while they were doing something, it wouldn't be me doing it, you know? It'd be their autonomy, not mine, and what is a tulpa without their autonomy? Yeah, not really something I'd find very pleasant.

 

And that's to say nothing of the feelings of the physical person you're imposing on. Would they know you're doing it? If yes, I guess that's fine as long as they consent (though I'm sure it'd be weird to have you seeing something about them they can't see), but if not... that's kinda sketchy, you know? Maybe robotics could one day stand in for this, or something, dunno.

 

I'd say Tewi's probably right. Lucid dreaming is probably the way do go here, if you want the interaction with your tulpa to be as vivid as possible.

I think you should accomplish what's actually possible (lucid dreaming, imposition) before deciding that it isn't enough for you. If you're still not great at lucid dreaming, try different methods. Make up methods that are tailored to how you work as an individual. Or, spend all your time nailing down imposition. Visual, auditory, touch... Master it all. Your time is better spent that way.

Scratch: yo, i only ever did this with two peeps but it works. i can go into their minds and explore their dreamscapes. far as i know it only works on people we haz a connection with.
