Michen_S May 22, 2019 May 22, 2019 Yeah, I've heard stories about this happening as well. I have no way of verifying them in any way, but it was enough to make me think about what our minds and tulpas are capable of, as well as how they work. I've got no experiences myself of seeing someone else's tulpa or someone seeing mine (at least not yet), but I'd love to read more about this. Ranger May 22, 2019 May 22, 2019 For fun, I walk around meatspace open-eyed visualized while my presence is imposed. Then, I pull out a megaphone and shout into it. So far, no reactions. Sometimes I also like to stand on people's cars or mess with people's hair or stuff just to for the heck of it- no reaction. Also, Flame never reported physically seeing my form. My guess is people are thinking about their friend's Tulpa and voila, a "Tulpa" appears before their eyes. I don't know how many people practice this form of visualization normally, so it's possible the first use of the skill is surprising to people. Combine that with hearing about Tulpas, and then the two events are connected to be one in the same when in reality they are not. There's also the possibility of people detecting a Tulpa's "energy", and this I find to be far more interesting. I don't want to assume people's personalities have some kind of electromagnetic or hormonal properties because I think that's unlikely, however it's totally reasonable for someone to notice a person acting differently than usual and then assume those actions belong to the Tulpa. People who know the Tulpamancer are going to be the first to notice any changes in body and speaking language, and if they practice metaphysics or magic, they may assume a false correlation there too. Those are the psychological explanations I can think of. Of course, the possibility of a real psychic stumbling across a Tulpamancer and being wowed is a story I would love to hear about. However, I don't necessarily trust that the psychic community is demonstrating any psychic powers, more so a demonstration of a mastery in psychological manipulation. I am more likely to trust a psychological explanation over a metaphysical one, but I am always deeply curious where metaphysical explanations spring up in response to a confusing event. Note: I'm hit-or-miss activity-wise on this account. I may not respond to PMs for awhile. I'm Ranger, GrayTheCat's cobud (tulpa), and I love hippos! I also like cake and chatting about stuff. I go by Rosalin or Ronan sometimes. You can call me Roz but please don't call me Ron. My other headmates have their own account now, but it's outdated and I can't be bothered to update it If I missed seeing your art, please PM/DM me! Nikki February 14, 2025 February 14, 2025 I'm seeing my S.O.'s Tulpas in photos and on our tv screen. I cannot see them straight-on with the naked eye, but I can sense where they are and confirm it with photos.

Did your partner tell you about their existence or did you notice the subtleties yourself? Also, another point I find most noteworthy is that you can not only see them straight on, but indjrectly on photos. Until now, I assumed that impossible, since a group tried to capture Tulpas once and all they had was a completely different scene!
