Relationship Titles

I have had a little bit of trouble with what to call Ranger because he's not my brother and I don't treat him like my son. Ranger and I decided to call ourselves friends.

 

I go by Host and Ranger goes by Tulpa, but the Grays see Ranger acting as a co-host.

 

For the longest time, I called the Grays just that not giving a second thought to how offensive that could come across. I used to think it didn't matter what I called them because I didn't even think they were Tulpas at the time.

 

Given that, it's possible rejecting "The Grays" is something we will choose to do if everyone else doesn't like it. However, I haven't received any complains yet and there's a possibility they will be resistant to changing it given their past resistance towards changing their names. However, if the Grays deviate like Ranger did, they may decide that they don't like their names and pick alternate names to go by later down the road and having another discussion about "The Grays".

 

Some of the Grays have "jobs", things they do to help me and Ranger, and sometimes "Gray organizer" or "merge guard" are informally thrown around.

 

The only other exception to relationship titles is Duck. He thinks of Ranger and I as his parents, so he will call me "mommy" and Ranger "daddy". I didn't ask Duck how he sees the other Grays.
