Read Your PR Requests / PR Summaries

I have an unrealistic fear about PRs. I hate the idea of not reading everyone's PR, and several months ago I fell behind and stopped reading most of them all together. I don't find my fears to be rational, but they're effective at demotivating me and they're making me miserable. I like and miss reading PRs, but I find myself easily overwhelmed by the sheer number of PRs I didn't read and PRs I used to read but dropped the ball on. I'm sick of just skimming the PR in a blue moon and not posting, and I want to train myself that I don't have to fear reading PRs.

 

To solve this problem, I decided to make this thread. If you want me to look at your PR, let me know here and I'll read it. To give back, I'll also add a summary of your PR here and briefly mention what you are currently working on and point out any straggler questions that got missed.

 

You can also use this thread to get someone else's attention or post your own summaries of your PR (don't forget to put a date on your summary). You can talk about other people's PR's, but that's not necessarily the main point of this thread.

• My plan is first come first serve, I'll start with the first request and go down the thread.
  
• If your PR is really long, I may end up chunking it down or giving one summary per X posts/ per X months or something like that.
  
• If I chunk your PR into parts, I may take a break from your PR after my first few PR summaries and read someone else's, but I will come back to yours. My plan is to read one other person's PR at the top of the list, go back to yours and post another summary, go to the top of the list and post a summary, etc. until I read through the whole PR.
  
• If you don't want me to give a summary or not talk about certain things, please let me know in your request.

I think of the PRs as being just peoples personal logs.. so no-one should worry about reading these. People post in them not expecting responses though if there is a response.. of cause that is great too.  I post in my PR for myself and so I can look back on the progress. Sometimes I'll read a PR just for fun and to learn more about a person and their tulpa.

I feel bad about what happened with this thread, so I want to come clean.

 

I felt anxious over reading PRs again, and the end result was I just hid away from them. Unfortunately, this wasn't the best solution for me to help cope with my anxiety. I would like to suspend this project, for now.

 

This project is a cool idea though because I think it would be a great resource for people to find PRs they want to read faster, so when I don't feel anxious about reports I would like to come back here and take on any outstanding requests that didn't get summarized yet. I don't see much point in writing a new thread, and I can edit the OP with links to thread summaries. In the mean time, if I come across a report I want to read, I may make a summary of what I read, summarize specific posts, etc. Something is better than nothing, I hope.

 

I also want to give this thread a bump- if you want to summarize your PR here or someone else's, please feel free to do so. If in the future someone already does a summary of a report you like, feel free to make a duplicate summary. I'll keep an eye on this thread and if anyone posts any summaries, I will add them to the OP. Summaries can be short or long, part of a PR or all of it.

Most of the disclaimers I wrote in the OP are no longer valid, but it would be awesome to get the older requests first and please respect people who don't want their PRs summarized.
