Guest Albatross_ May 25, 2012 May 25, 2012 Women are so intelligent, aren't they? Hah... fucking women. Actually just last night Taimet came to me in a dream and expained how tulpae are actually demons from the outer ring. Sorry, I guess I should retract my previous post. Please stop trying to defend your oblivious opinion. Ok

knux3k May 25, 2012 May 25, 2012 Another big difference between soulbonders and you guys is fronting. Most soulbonds front, which means they take control of the soulbonder's body for periods of time. As I understand it, this doesn't happen with tulpas? I didn't see any references to it. Does it happen? I'm curious. Am I the only one who plans on trying this? Lol, not for long of course, but still try it. Let it play around at school or something.
Also May 25, 2012 Author May 25, 2012 I used to believe in the more metaphysical theories of soulbonding. In fact, when I wrote that essay on "fictional realism" I pretty much believed it. A lot of other soulbonders do. I just got to thinking about things, and the tulpa-like explanation seems to make more sense. When i say tulpa-like I don't necessarily mean exactly like how you believe tulpas work, but pretty close. Who knows? Maybe next week something will happen that will change my opinion and I'll start believing in fictional realism again. On the subject of magic, well, that word means different things to different people. For some people, magic is anything they don't understand. For others it has a specific meaning. To ask whether I believe in magic or not or think soulbonding is magic, I'd have to know what is meant by magic and what it entails. I don't get the impression that what you believe is somehow more scientific than what most soulbonders believe. Both are pretty much impossible to prove. A few years back this guy wrote a paper about soulbonding and argued that soulbonding beliefs are non-falsifiable. I agree with that, and so is the idea of the tulpa. It's like belief in God. You can't prove God exists, or doesn't exist, because there's no evidence either way, as much as people would like there to be evidence. Similarly, there's no real non-subjective evidence for or against alternate universes containing anime characters, or for or against tulpas being created and existing. I think that even though most soulbonders have a different theory of their reality than yours, we can all still be friends and learn from each other.

No. We call it "possession" and while there are no credible accounts of it yet there certainly will be experiments going on in the near future. I refer you to this thread. http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Possession I think that even though most soulbonders have a different theory of their reality than yours, we can all still be friends and learn from each other. Absolutely.

Thank you, lol I'm going to experiment with the "one part" so it can take control of my hands and make its own facebook and all that stuff xD EDIT: At least once I finish my tulpa
Guest May 25, 2012 May 25, 2012 OP should've created the thread in Off-topic anyway True. True. I find it very easy to derail threads for some reason, or perhaps it's just a natural chain reaction of this forum wherever one goes.
