Yeah, please don't even mention the "channeling other realities" thing. This is a place of science.

I believe this has been mentioned before, people who accidentally make a tulpa when making a character, or vice verse, accidentally make a tulpa and turn it into a character, or even make the tulpa on purpose.

The term soulbond sounds pretty neat honestly but I'd be afraid to use it.

It's more that the multiverse theory does not imply that literally every possibility exists in some universe. There are still limits.

There has been some testing, but with only very limited and/or unreliable results.

Ah, thanks.

Some people see it as magic, some people don't. I kinda do, but I'm not 100% on that.

The thing about magic is it's just a bandaid term for anything unexplainable. Like fire and floods.

Except science already explained those.

Logically looking at the term magic, it doesn't exist, considering everything is based on some form of logic. But just because the universe is one big black box doesn't mean it's full of pixie dust.

The best way to understand something is to realize it can be explained. The best way to be consumed by something is to imagine it can't.

This hot empty painting should be locked and towed.

Charlotte, while I agree with you, I don't want to see this turn into a debate thread.

Allow me to welcome you to the forums!

While this community is certainly more science and psychology oriented, you're welcomed to discuss your metaphysical side of things over here.

What's interesting, is that you said the method is soulbonding is usually talking to it, and something coming up. I would love to see an experiment with your community in an attempt to give these consciousnesses you speak up a body, that is, turn them into tulpae.

I say this, because I'm actually skipping the "visualization" phase (if I can't come up with a form, which that's what it's looking like), and I'm probably going to end up with a vocal and sapient tulpa without a body -- no idea what's going to happen next. If in some cases you guys ended up accidentally creating a formless tulpa (or creating one without knowing it), successfully creating and connecting it with a body would be your next step, as it would be for me if I go through with that method.

Mind=blown.

Nah, but I totally agree. I get uncomfortable when magical terminology is used, and would probably not have been comfortable with the terminology in the soulbonding community had I discovered that first, instead of this.

Traditionally, magic was used to explain things society didn't understand, like fires and floods, as you mentioned. I see contemporary uses of the word used to describe things an individual doesn't understand, like psychological concepts they aren't familiar with or naturally explained occurrences they're not taking the time to analyze correctly. I have a hard time taking claims of actual supernatural activity seriously without imagining that the person making the claim just isn't thinking about it or doesn't understand its causality.

I don't mean any of that to be confrontational to the soulbonding community though, since it seems like Also has a somewhat psychological take on it himself. I'm kind of interested in hearing from people who subscribe to the metaphysical perspective. Even if it isn't my cup of tea, it's a learning experience.

Charlotte, please don't make this debate club.

If magic doesn't exist then how can I do card tricks?

But just because the universe is one big black box doesn't mean it's full of pixie dust.

The universe is flat.

Why don't you make it a floating orb? You can be the Hero of Time!

This is a place devoted to a subjective phenomenon that not a single person here has a shred of evidence actually exists.

Scientifically inclined; yes. Place of science; not by a long shot.

The universe is flat.

No, that's the earth silly. The universe is a myth.

This is true story.
