So I am wondering about Tulpas and connections to objects. There is a phenomenon called Objectum Sexually that only occurs in a fraction of the world's population where a person develops a strong emotional and romantic feelings towards an object. It can be seen in some people on the autism spectrum. I am this way myself as some things I feel like there is a presence there or something there watching me and comforting me. It's not a spirit or anything. It's just a feeling that I get. Could that be a Tulpa in a way.

Could be. Children in particular, and humans in general can develop strong attachments to objects. It's an unconditional relationship in a way. Kind of like a 100% passive tulpa. Unless you project one onto it. I lost most of my childhood objects that I was attached to. My plushie leopard eel Joanna and I are pretty tight still. I think I named her after the lizard from Rescuers Down Under.

I've been curious for a while if there's a connection between Joanna and my tulpa, Jaina. They're both mum on the matter. I think it would be interesting if she was the seed for forming my tulpa later.

So possible. 🤷‍♂️

I agree. I haven't heard of it here, but they probably don't go around telling people.

There was a guy here who had a giant plushie who was his tulpa, and there is also a small youtuber who has a tulpa who is a sock puppet and he would go to conventions and the sock puppet tulpa would interview people. Apparently he was popular with children in his native country. I don't know of anyone who had a non-anthropomorphic object become a tulpa.

*both tulpas, iirc, had origins in childhood/teenagehood

The world is far, the world is wide; the man needs someone by his side.

Associating thoughtforms with objects is definitely a thing in various metaphysical/magical traditions. It's not uncommon in traditions where tuppers (or spirits, as they're more likely to say) aren't automatically considered nice for you to bind them to a particular object as either a home or a prison. I'd also not consider it much of a stretch for someone with animistic beliefs to make a tulpa that is actually the personification of a particular object.

Zen - Host. My history includes an interest in different forms of magic and Paganism, then Buddhism, then finally hypnosis through a more Atheistic lens.

Rhys - Tulpa. Initially a literary thoughtform of my own creation produced completely by accident in a period of intense writing that spanned roughly three months.

Asterion - Tulpa. Literary, but not of my making. He is Asterion Minoides of Krete, The Minotaur. I just think he's neat.

Other inactive thoughtforms include Mika - The first fully homegrown tupper made with tulpamancy.
Lukas - The eldest, initially abandoned and remade long after everyone else.
Night - The Shadow Self embodied. He's a spooky wizard, and like me very full of himself.

Beauty is truth, truth beauty,—that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.

I know it can be helpful to associate a stuffed animal or model with your tulpa, especially if you have aphantasia.

Otherwise, I remember one tulpamancer that tried to work with a physical beyblade to represent their tulpa. I don't remember how it went though.

Note: I'm hit-or-miss activity-wise on this account. I may not respond to PMs for awhile.

I'm Ranger, GrayTheCat's cobud (tulpa), and I love hippos! I also like cake and chatting about stuff. I go by Rosalin or Ronan sometimes. You can call me Roz but please don't call me Ron.

My other headmates have their own account now, but it's outdated and I can't be bothered to update it

If I missed seeing your art, please PM/DM me!
