[TAD] Tulpa Pet Preference

Tulpas, if you had to pick between a having a cat, a dog, or some fish as a pet, which one and why? Would your host make the same choice? Are there any other types of pets you would rather have? No one said they had to be realistic!

Out of those three choices I would have a cat! 🐱 In the wonderland I have an orange tabby named Nigel who is fiercely independent, but enjoys his cuddles once in a while. 🥰 My host is more of a dog person.

 

Buuuut...If I could have a pet from any time in the Earth's history I would LOVE to have a Quetzalcoatlus! 😁😁😁 This was a pterosaur that was the size of a giraffe and had a 35 foot wingspan! And yes, scientists believe it actually flew! I know it would probably be pretty much impossible to keep one as a pet if they still existed (not to mention unethical), but look how cool they are! 🥰

I like turtles for some reason. I had a dream of being a marine biologist/trainer and working with sea critters in a marina or doing educational stuff with them. I love our woofles though 😋 *squeezes Viktor around the collar* I think he's getting bigger 😐.

In Wonderland I'd probably get a dog eventually. Good for protection or as an early warning system. Doc is allergic to dogs, so it ain't practical in her world, but she has cats and ... maybe I'll get a cat in Wonderland as well. Eventually. They've grown on me.

[Ranger] Oh boy here we go, long system post (Actually, knowing how long this will take, we may end up creating a new post or edit this one instead of typing this out all at once.)

 

If I had to choose, maybe a dog. I think fish are cool, but I don't have strong feelings for them. I like the cat we have, but Gray has always been closer to the cat than me. I just... like the dog more. I can't tell you why, I feel like I appreciate the dog more even though I'm still learning how to connect with him.

 

If I could pick any pet, a magical cuddle lizard with wings? I don't have any strong feelings for a pet right now, I want to wait until I'm personally in a better place for one.

[Blue] Ya know I never thought about having a pet before. Is none an option? I'm a little too invested in myself to be responsible for another living breathing being if you know what I mean. I don't want to be that kid who shakes the fish bag and kills Nemo. If I decide to become a pet dude, I want to do more research so I don't mess up.

 

Edit: Moltosha helped me realize it could be an "in-wonderland" sort of deal. In that case, maybe some fish? Some NPC fish could be dope.

[Moltosha] Assuming that my pet was a wonderland creature, I think I would prefer a cat. An aloof creature that will respect my space as I respect its seems appealing to me. However, having the option to pet the cat and interact with it sounds appealing too, wonderland fish may become boring for me after awhile.

 

I already have some NPC chicks I keep to myself, and I think some kind of bird would make a nice pet. Having a raven or a parrot more like a familiar than a pet sounds very interesting to me.

[Evergreen] I looove fish because I am one! Buuut I want a pet I can cuddle. I think I'll have to pick the puppy, because we can cuddle and play together! A cat may not want to play as much, I want to be a little bit rougher.

 

I want a pet that could shapeshift, that could be cool. Animals are cool, why not have all of them? If I thought long and hard enough I would find a reason to want that animal (okay maybe not a bug eww) but an aligator could be cool! A giraffe could be cool! A bird could be cool! Hence shifty boi <3

[Exabier] I don't think I would want a pet. I'm personally not an animal guy, one of the few headmates if not only headmate in my system without some kind of animal symbol. I just... don't want one?

 

I think I need to spend more time with animals before I make a final choice. I just feel no real need or reason to get one.
