Unless i'm mistaken, my tulpa is now vocal. However her voice/responses feel very automatic, not alien or external. It really feels like i'm parroting, but I am sure that i'm not. I am wondering if there's anything I can do to further distinguish her consciousness from mine, and strengthen her voice overall.

This plaguing doubt is rather counterproductive... i'm sure many of you know what I mean.

"So are you sure its really you responding?"

"Goddammit, for the last time, yes!"

"But it feels like me"

"FUUUUUU"

I am currently suffering through the same thing, Emma has been responding extremely quickly and it sounds just like me (obviously) and the fact it's through thought makes it a fucking bitch to identify if it's her.

I'm having the same problem, kinda. While mine seems to respond sometimes I won't get a full answer, or it'll be a random image response, like I say something nice, and a image of her smiling at me appears in my head. And when she speaks, it is more like if I'm thinking, though it does have a 'voice' to it that sounds different from my own. I've been fighting with the doubt for a week and a half now, and I am paranoid I may be hurting her growth. Sorry, didn't think I should spamm the forums with the a thread for a similar question. -squee-

Tulpa(s): Luna and Twilight.

I had the same thing happen to me. I really felt like her mind voice was mine. It actually was, but I wasn't parroting in a sense. I learned that she would send me thoughts and I would voice them out, thinking it was her. Nothing wrong with that, but I try to not to do that because I want her to develop her own mind voice. Her actual voice is much more quiet, so I have to listen a bit harder, but it's growing.

I have 10 tulpas, but I'm only actively working on Reah, my first tulpa currently.

I have the same problem, and I find just finding a way to convince yourself that parroting is impossible works. One day I just said to my tulpa, "I cant parrot you anymore, its impossible for me to parrot you because you're independent of my help."

Works for me most of the time.

It's Okay Cawffle, you ARE NOT parroting.

you when your tulpa is young respondes are simply predictable (so it might feel like parroting).

If you want to know what parroting really is, then role play as two characters (the 1st being you and the 2nd being anything but your Tulpa), notice how it takes conscious effort for you to respond and create answers to yourself.

Remember this. "If Your not Sure... Then Tulpa"

aint that ape from a cereal box?

I used to eat that cereal. It was pretty good.

As for the OP, it'll seem like that for a while. Unless the response was definitely you, then it was your tulpa. Honestly.

Keep working with it and her voice will become more distinct and less predictable. That's just how speech is in the beginning.

I have the theory that Tulpae in early stages use our thoughts to communicate since they are not experienced enough to do on their own.

That is what makes it sounds familiar.

Also if its parroting, even if its not all that conscious, you will notice it since you get tired of making up the answers.

Another thing you can try is to trace back your Tulpa's thoughts, if its parroting you will end up on yourself, making them up.

But if i'm right with the theory of Tulpae using your thoughts to communicate, you will feel like parroting all the time even if you're not.

That on the other Hand brings us to the question: Did you really made up that thought or did your Tulpa make you come up with it?

They say great science is built on the shoulders of giants - not here.

At Tulpa.info we do all our science from scratch; no hand holding.

I'll just quote Roswell because he wrote about this some time ago, so why not.

You don't get anything by assuming it will just happen when you wait for it, believe it already is so and it shall happen. Trust, belief, teamwork, important words when it comes to creating tulpa.

...

Your tulpa's voice will most likely sound very similar to yourself at first. This "alien" feeling is not something Sands has ever felt, not the kind the guides always talked about. A thing I should mention is that you might first feel what your tulpa is about to say to you before they do and as such you might call parroting. Thoughts are faster than words and apparently very difficult for hosts to tell apart, so pure thoughts sent to you by a tulpa might very well feel like your own, even though they are not. The same works the other was, a tulpa might respond to you before you have finished your question.
