Guest applesauce99 July 6, 2012 July 6, 2012 She says she's never even played a piano prior to that, so if she can just pick up an instrument and play it like that, I'd imagine the same would be true for Elise. I should also mention I can't play piano at all. Thoughts? Well duh, für Elise.
glitchthe3rd July 7, 2012 Author July 7, 2012 OK, cool story time. I bet some of you have been wondering why I have Luna and Elise listed as humanoids rather than humans. That's because technically Luna belongs to the fictional Lunarian race, though she's now indistinguishable from a human, both internally and externally. This is because I did all the stuff that you aren't supposed to do, like giving your tulpa a fake backstory and all that jazz, though I conveniently neglected to mention who her parents were or anything, so I guess she was cool with it, and it didn't cause any identity crises or anything. Anyway... that was supposed to explain why her emotional states and such were governed by the phase of the moon, also why she doesn't need to breathe, and why she dreams about space and floating in zero gravity and stuff. Technically this also makes Elise a Lunarian half-breed, though she doesn't exhibit any of the space-related dreams or not needing to breathe or anything. glitchthe3rd July 7, 2012 Author July 7, 2012 OK so I told Elise to wake us up at 9:30 this morning, and she comes into my room and wakes us up. I roll over to check my cell phone, and it's 9:35. Then we both went back to sleep for another hour. So yeah, tulpa alarm clock confirmed as being legit. NesterBones July 7, 2012 July 7, 2012 Also, I went over to my grandpa's house today, and Luna sat down at the piano and just started playing this: She says she's never even played a piano prior to that, so if she can just pick up an instrument and play it like that, I'd imagine the same would be true for Elise. I should also mention I can't play piano at all. Thoughts? this is something i've bren thinking about since kass and her keyboard thing came up. my theory is that tulpas can learn to play instruments on their own even if you can't just because you have a basic knowledge of how it works. you know when you hit a key on the piano it makes a sounds. if you at least know what the sounds sound like per key and what the ones around it sound like, i see no reason a tupper couldn't use that info to learn to play. The brain still has to have made the connections to be able to play well. To play an instrument, or to get better at anything, you need to do it often enough that your brain forms new connections. This allows the brain to work faster and better at that task. You know, like paving over a well used dirt road to speed up traffic. Even if your tupper knows what key does what, it still won't be physically able to play well enough as your body can't perform to that standard, because the connections haven't been made. You tupper could practice I assume, but then that defeats the purpose of said tulpa shortcut. frt
