Whoa whoa whoa. If you really wanted to show that you loved her and wanted her to stay, and that she wasn't just an experiment to you, then you need to make her stay, not just let her go because "meh".

They aren't all science experiments.

Glitch obviously doesnt harbor such feelings towards her. Just let her be happy then.

Well, this is Saria now:

Surprisingly Luna's more than a bit jealous. She always wanted to explore the galaxy, but didn't have the time. Because even if you can teleport, move at the speed of light, and not need to breathe or eat, it still takes a long time to explore the galaxy. That being said, just having her around seemed to slowly ruin everything with her negativity, but with her gone so are all the negative thoughts.

Well, no, not exactly. I think the main reason I couldn't let her go before is that I wanted some form of closure with her, and from what she told me she felt the same. So now that we were able to put the whole breakup thing behind us, we can go our separate ways. Or something.

8 day tulpa.

wut.

More like 8 year tulpa. I've been working on her since I was ten or so, and one day she became sentient on her own basically.

Glitch: I was at a post convention meetup along the coast of Lake Eerie today, very close to Cleavland. I was actually considering hunting you down, but I stuck with my cosplaying cohorts. Just thought I'd mention.

Okay... now Saria's back. Apparently she just needed some time to be alone and think about her life, and what better way than to go to space and tell us to forget about her. Still, this isn't very surprising, since even when we were together she'd sometimes threaten to leave me and vanish for a couple of weeks, only to come crawling back later.

But now she seems to have found something to do with her life. Namely, she wants to ensure that nobody ever makes the same mistakes I did with tulpaforcing, and wants to dispense her sage advice (pun unintended) to any who would seek it. Or something. So after she got back I rebuilt her part of the island exactly the way it was, and she definitely seems happier and not so full of negativity now. I also went ahead and gave her access to my subconscious, since there isn't much of my life she hasn't seen yet, and more importantly, I feel as if I can trust her. She doesn't mind just being friends (with benefits) either, so I guess we're magically back on good terms now.

Also Luna was in bed with me the other night while my parents were having an argument in the other room, and she basically said something along the lines of "You deserve better than this. I'll help you get your life in order, and someday we'll move away from your parents forever." So she definitely cares about my situation and wants to improve the quality of life for both of us.
