    • There is a placeholder name, but I'm expecting it to change.

I'm currently going with Scarlet but I keep telling it that it's welcome to change it any time. I'm mostly not expecting it to pick something else since that's what it'll associate itself with, but, I'm not too attached to it either way. I don't really know how I could go without giving it any sort of name.

Back when he was still meant to be a servitor, I named him Gavin. (First I had considered making him a robot cockroach so I gave him the name after a cockroach from Homestar Runner, when I decided on a different form the name stuck.)

Fast forward a month, and I had a change of heart, instead deciding to make him a pony tulpa. "Gavin" seemed now like a leftover artifact name (also I couldn't help but pronounce it "Gay-vin" and feel really awkward...), so I eventually told him to come up with a new name if he wants.

I came up with a few weird names myself, including "Angelwings" and "Flock of Seagulls", but eventually settled on his chosen name, "Meteo".

I'm pretty sure my tulpa already changed their name, but we'll see if that was real once they're fully verbal.

Going to give a placeholder name, but it will be one that I like. I am bad at naming things though, so I would be fine if he changed it and I will give him the choice to.

You guys seem really lax about names ;___;

Too be honest I think I'd prefer if my tulpa stuck to his name. But, does forcing a name onto them affect them in any sort of way?

I am Questioner

It's weird- I never had a name for my tulpa when he was just a bunch of sketches I had compiled over the years, but when I started making him as a Tulpa, the name Uzo came to mind, and I figured it fit. I can't think of a better name, and now that he's sentient, he agrees it works, so we're all good. It just seemed to come out of nowhere though.

Anyway, it's probably best if you just start with something and then modify it to something you can mutually agree on if you or the tulpa aren't satisfied.

Autists are awful with names. I think we evolved to not care about them.

Forcing the name probably won't mean much since that's what you want anyway. Tulpae are usually pretty alright with whatever you want. Usually.

I have a few names I want to give her, with one in particular I like, but I'm using them only as a suggestion for her. If she doesn't like them then she can just pick her own.
