No, they have nothing to do with magic. They are a purely psychological occurrence, like dreaming.

(Unless you follow the metaphysical school of thought, which has its own board because it differs so greatly from what everyone else perceives as logic.)

The above post does not contain facts.

q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.

It's as magic as playing an instrument. It's hard to do at first, but eventually when you finger them, they sing. It's not magic, it's merely something about the brain that science doesn't comprehend yet. I personally put it into the parapsychological viewpoint, seeing as how I see the parasychological as shit that the brain does that science doesn't comprehend yet, but for the most part, it's just cool brain shit.

Let's focus on the matter at hand, shall we?

when you finger them, they sing.

Hmm.

The THE SUBCONCIOUS ochinchin occultists frt.sys (except Roswell because he doesn't want to be a part of it)

Hmm.

Wow, it took only four posts for this thread to be derailed. This must be a new record.

To answer OP, no, tulpae aren't considered magic unless you believe them to be.

It's widely believed to be a psychological phenomenon, but there always is the metaphysical side to it as well.

I know what I'm doing in my wonderland tonight.

As for OP: They're made from the magic of the mind.

It widely believed to be a psychological phenomenon, but there always is the metaphysical side to it as well.
Psychology is metaphysical.

Are Tulpas magic? No. Because magicians are liars and fakers. Magicians are illusionists at best. I have a better question. Are tulpas magick? Yes. Because magick means to create. Either you have created an hallucination or an etheric being. Either way you have created. And if you do so long enough the tulpa could actually take on a physical body. Or as I prefer, they stay on the astral plane. At this point, I will quote Edgar Allan Poe. "Life is but a dream within a dream." You can't argue with a dead man.

Enoch, Chancellor of Mars.

"Follow your bliss."-Joseph Campbell

You can't argue with a dead man.

Yeah I can. They just don't put up much of a fight.

As far as magic tulpas goes though, I accept both ideas. I don't practice metaphysical tulpa creation, but I do not tell people they're wrong if it's working just fine for them.
