Allison the Tulpa February 13, 2013 February 13, 2013 So, I'm Dani, and I just created Allison a few weeks ago. I just joined tulpa.info, and I was curious: can a fully developed tulpa somehow change your speech patterns or how you vocalize things? Such as, I have some speech problems, saying my r's and pronunciation in general, so could Allison possibly help me fix my speech problems after she's fully developed? I would really like to know, because I really want to speak normally, so yeah. I await your replies. And that's how I ended up in this padded cell PR
Chupi February 14, 2013 February 14, 2013 If you get into vocal possession (letting her speak using your body) or switching, she may sound different from you, but this doesn't modify how *you* speak. She may even be able to somehow "share" with you some of how she speaks. If you're thinking something like having her help you practice, that isn't going to work so well. She'll still be hearing based on your senses, and basic human anatomy makes your own ears hear your voice a lot different from how you sound to others. Ultimately what's needed is practice on your part, changing the way you habitually move your mouth and throat muscles when producing various sounds. You can do this using a simple voice recorder, which will let you hear how you sound. She may be able to help you a little by providing ideas and insights on what to change and how, but most of the work will still be you. Basically what you do is start with one phrase and train your voice to say that one thing really well. Get a really good idea in your mind of how you want it to sound, basing off how someone else says it if needed, preferably someone with a similar voice to your own. Record yourself saying it, then listen to the recording. Think about what needs to change to make it more like how you want. Try again, listen, and decide whether you did better or worse. It's trial and error, really. Once you have that one phrase down, try another one. Aside: I had pronunciation issues when I was a kid and through my teen years. R's were particularly troublesome to be as well, for some reason. I never really put in the effort to do voice training. I just somehow grew out of it around my early twenties. Wait, I've always though that if you're able to hear how a word is properly pronounced than you're Tulpa will be able to have perfect speech since there's no physical limitation in their dialogue. My tulpas been wanting to help me with my R's and she says them just fine so perception between us and anyone else is really that much of a difference? My tulpas been wanting to help me with my R's and she says them just fine so perception between us and anyone else is really that much of a difference? How did that have anything to do with the part you quoted or did you just mean to quote the whole post but didn't because it's long? Nowhere did he say anything what you implied in your post, though. I have no idea where that came from. A lot of what he said had to do with possession and talking that way as well as the whole your own ears hear your own voice differently than everyone else. The tupper is still using your ears (or at least the body's, if that's what you want to call them) so they couldn't hear your speech like another person with another pair of ears could. Also your=/=you're, than=/=then, tulpas=/=tulpa's. A tupper could have perfect speech when not using the body, yeah, as long as the information how to have that perfect speech comes from somewhere. That is obvious and has nothing to do with what he said, so how about you read his post again? KenzieK February 15, 2013 February 15, 2013 When you say your r's, make your tounge go further back in your mouth. Look up other tips and then practice with your tulpa.
