Kiahdaj March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 Good points. I guess I should have specified that my comment only applies to mentally sound people. Because of course anything dealing with messing with the mind is going to go weird if the mind is already weird. I don't believe any of those people were mentally unstable, in any way. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Lacquer March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 Then maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm just trying to give the new guy a good impression. This whole process goes just as well as you believe it will, and if he goes through this worrying at every turn that something could go wrong, it will be more likely to happen. myrealon, if you're still listening, don't worry. Everything will turn out fine.
Kiahdaj March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 Oh yeah, sure, I get that. By no means should you (myrealon) be worried about it. Very few credible complaints have ever been made about tulpae negatively affecting people. It would basically be like worrying, every time you leave your house, because there's the possibility something could happen. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Chupi March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 Actually, once established, a tulpa can in some cases help protect you from mental issues. Bluesleeve's was able to clean up the mess that happened after she became audible. A few others have said their tulpae help keep them sane. Lyra: human female, ~17 Evan: boy, ~14, was an Eevee Anera: anime-style girl, ~12; Lyra made her My blog :: Time expectations are bad (forcing time targets are good though)
myrealon March 2, 2013 Author March 2, 2013 i think i'll keep checking this thread, it's always instructive to discuss things with experimented tulpamancers ^^ as for the negative effects you're discussing, it's what i'm the least worried about.
Spice March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 I believe one tulpa was reported to have helped with,.. I think it was dyslexia? Despite the name, the host bodybody is the one usually using this account. Spice was born in 2013 and Tomoe was born in 2014.
Heaventhief March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 tulpa re not generally the type of pricks to try and screw things up anyway. as long as you do not set out to make your tulpa mean and malicious with intent to harm you most of the time they will not.
