myrealon March 1, 2013 March 1, 2013 Hello everybody, happy to meet you, it's my first topic on this forum, even though discovered tulpas 2 months ago. I'm a 20 years old french student, and i discovered tulpas on pony thread simulators ( i'm a brony, but i'm definitely not doing a pony tulpa ) After reading almost all of the guides listed on this page: http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Great-Big-List-of-Guides-WIP and this one in particular : http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-General-A-guide-compilation i feel confident for the theoretical aspect of the creation of my tulpa, but i still have some questions : - do you have some sort of time table for the different steps of tulpamancing ? from what i understood, it goes like this : introduction -> narration -> visualization -> imposition... - when am i supposed to do the personality creation ? is it dangerous to do it as a part independent from narration ? - i couldn't comprehend completely what "tulpaforcing" is, is it simply a general word to include visualization and imposition ? i know you can tulpaforce stuff like clothes and equipment, but is there a specific procedure ? or just some imposition ? And my most important question : is there any guide to create a wonderland ? i will definitely use it, and from what i read, it seems that it will grow along with the tulpa. That's it, i hope you will forgive my crude english, and i hope everything i wrote is understandable. I'll keep an eye on the thread and provide information when needed, have a nice day or night, depending on your timezone :)
Kiahdaj March 1, 2013 March 1, 2013 You may do the steps in any order that you like. It really doesn't matter. A specific order may work best for you in particular, but you can't be sure of which order that is, until you've tried it. Just go with whichever seems more logical to you, and or what it is that you want to achieve first. Like I said last, you can do it whenever you want. It is not even necessary to do the personality step. Its only purpose is if you have a specific kind of personality that you want them to have (though keep in mind, they will most likely not turn out exactly how you specified them to be, due to deviation). If you do not do the personality step, then their personality will be "random". But from what I've heard, the personality that they end up with will be made up of what you want from them, subconsciously. Yeah, I never really understood the concrete definition of tulpaforcing, either. But from what I've gathered, it appears to be just about anything besides narrating, unless I'm forgetting something at the moment. But basically all else that there is, is any kind of visualization or imposition. You give them clothes and accessories the same way you define their appearance. You simply visualize them with those things. Just in case you didn't know (as some people don't), it is not at all necessary to create a wonderland. But, if you do want one, then it is very easy. Basically, just create an area. Think about the kind of scenery you want it to have, and where you want it to be. After you know what you want it to look like... Well, you're basically done. You just re-imagine the place, each time you go to visualize with your tulpa. It is said that your wonderland can change randomly, which means that you don't have to do anything for it to happen. But if it doesn't change, don't worry. It doesn't mean anything. The only other piece of advice I could give about it is (and sorry if this sounds vague): go into your wonderland each time, without expecting anything. Don't focus too hard on creating it when you enter. Just enter, and let your mind visualize it for you. That way, you allow the changes to happen. If you force your vision of the wonderland, then any changes that may have been made, may be undone. Basically, don't try too hard to build it from memory, each time you visit. While I find wonderlands to be very simple, and fairly self-explanatory, if you do need any further information, try checking the guides section of the site, and of the forums. There may or may not be one there. I don't know, I haven't checked. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Sands March 1, 2013 March 1, 2013 Kiahdaj already answered most, I'll drop by and add some shit. There's not even any steps in this. Don't think of them as steps you have to finish before you move onto something else. I'd say the only required step here is narration to fool your brain into thinking there is someone else there and then there is, because brains are weird okay. Anything else could be skipped if you wanted to. You can do anything in any order you want or at the same time even, working on one thing now and something else another day. You can't really go wrong unless you do some really stupid things and even then, most likely there's nothing permanently wrong. Unless you've been a huge jerk I guess. Just relax, guides are just guidelines, not something set in stone. Make your own path but learn from the experiences of others. Tulpaforcing is just something you do to create a tupper, sometimes including narration, sometimes not. Depends on who you ask, really. I'd separate forcing into active and passive forcing. Active forcing is when you sit down and concentrate on just your tulpa and nothing else, completely focusing on them and their creation. Passive is, well, passive. You go on with your life and do things, but you keep the tupper in your mind. If imposing, you go outside for a walk and impose them with you instead of just sitting down and staring at them for example, kinda implementing the forcing with your life and not setting aside time just for them. You can mix both, huzzah. Wonderland isn't tricky. Think of a place, boom, wonderland. Go explore. Kiahdaj March 1, 2013 March 1, 2013 >dangerous Nothing about the tulpa process is dangerous unless you willingly make it dangerous. That is debatable. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Chupi March 1, 2013 March 1, 2013 Then debate me. I seem to recall Bluesleeve having some schizophrenic-like voices pop up when his first tulpa became vocal. Also, for some people additional tulpae begin popping up on their own. Not typically a problem, but for certain people with unstable minds, the last thing they need is more randomly-occurring (i.e. without the control you have over personality and so forth in creating a tulpa) conscious entities. That is exactly what I was going to bring up. But I would like to add really quick, that I have heard of people (some of those same people, I believe) also having forced possession occur, and they found it hard, sometimes, to regain control of their own body. They had sort of a battle with their "tulpa" over it. These things certainly aren't common, and there's no way to prove that they really happened, but it is certainly worth noting. Lacquer March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 Good points. I guess I should have specified that my comment only applies to mentally sound people. Because of course anything dealing with messing with the mind is going to go weird if the mind is already weird.
