Semi-Nomadic June 7, 2012 June 7, 2012 Well, to be frank? - Companionship. Before I even learned about tulpae, I found myself frequently talking to myself or fantasizing that I had a friend/brother accompanying me and could talk with him. - Fascination with the very concept of a tulpa. - i like ponies - Psychology. It is possible my tulpa might help me with some psychological issues. As in, repair them directly, "by hand". - Research... and fame. I hope to maybe find out how tulpae and religion intersect. (and maybe get quoted in the future as a precursor to such research)

Guest Anonymous June 8, 2012 June 8, 2012 For me the greatest benefit will be having someone to talk to whenever I want about whatever I want with no judgement. Having the freedom to talk about absolutely anything will be awesome. I'll also be able to bounce song ideas off my tulpa and get her to judge the music I make, which will be very helpful in progressing as a musician.

G|d30n June 8, 2012 June 8, 2012 Um, You're probably still going to fight every now and then. But judgment, more often than not, comes from ignorance and prejudice--two things your tulpa won't really have about you. So, while you may disagree and argue, it would be extremely unlikely that your tulpa would really have reason to judge you, unless you do something that's just objectively awful--in which case, don't do that. Progess on my tulpa, Lauren. Lauren's survey and stylometric test.
Jaggo June 8, 2012 June 8, 2012 Like most people, companionship. I have a lot of general problems that sometimes my friends can't be there for. And it doesn't help that most of my friends are currently miles away. It would be nice to have someone that knows me in and out that I can just talk to for awhile. Also memory retrieval. Which I am totally going to waste on the most trivial things I can.
