knucklebump557 September 27, 2013 September 27, 2013 I've been talking to another person's tulpa, Rainbow Dash (mind you this isn't the generic MLP Rainbow Dash, this is a vastly different one) through a stream chat and possession. Over time, she's come to really like me and has been wanting to f*** me. When I asked how she would do that, she responded with, "I'll come into your mind and take over your dreams, for a brief period." Can this really happen? Can she really come into my mind and take over my dreams, even though she isn't my tulpa?
waffles September 27, 2013 September 27, 2013 Can she really come into my mind and take over my dreams, even though she isn't my tulpa? No. To expand, we believe that people can't communicate telepathically, which means that your a tulpa can't travel between hosts.
Guest Anonymous September 27, 2013 September 27, 2013 The technical term is "joke". Also most likely not, unless you can somehow get telepathy to work through the internet.

Can she really come into my mind and take over my dreams, even though she isn't my tulpa? Absolutely. Conventionally speaking, there's no reason you couldn't have dream sex with anyone, or anything. Just the suggestion that this character could make a lurid cameo in one of your dreams could trigger the encounter. Whether or not you're banging your friend's disembodied subpsyche is another matter entirely — one that is better suited to another subforum.
Incognito September 27, 2013 September 27, 2013 Improbable, I like to go by the theory that anything (or most things anyways) is "possible". Though from the reaction above^, i'll say that it is not currantly possible to the knowledge of anyone here. Please assume everything I say on the subject of Tulpae as theory based off of information I have found on Tulpamany, since I do not have a Tulpa.
knucklebump557 September 28, 2013 Author September 28, 2013 I've been still told that it's somehow possible, but when I tried to ask, they were either very vague or just dodged the question completely. I'm very suspicious of this, even if you guys say it can't happen
Kiahdaj September 28, 2013 September 28, 2013 Keep in mind, when people here say it can't happen they may not be saying so much that it's not possible, but that it's not possible from the perspective that should be had here--psychological. From the sheer psychological standpoint, no, it is absolutely not possible. As for whether or not it's possible metaphysically, no one here can tell you it's not, as much as they may believe so. But it still might not be. So. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

I'm very suspicious of this, even if you guys say it can't happen From an ordinary, established psychological perspective, it's possible. By now you've become familiar with the character's personality and appearance, so with suggestion, effort, or both, you could have a dream a featuring their carbon copy likeness. In a way, you'd be manifesting your own version of their 'tulpa'. That's not so difficult. But, if you're asking about the character entering your dreams as a truly separate entity, then I'm sure everyone on this board would appreciate you posting about it in the 'Metaphysics' subsection. I'm not even touching that topic here, except to bluntly remind you that you'd be having "astral" sex with your friend.
Nerd Guru September 28, 2013 September 28, 2013 There was a recent experiment with TMS where a scientist was able to imagine moving his finger and managed to move the finger of a colleague some distance away. Here's the link in case I am completely botching up the summary. http://www.washington.edu/news/2013/08/27/researcher-controls-colleagues-motions-in-1st-human-brain-to-brain-interface/ So your answer from a guy with no clue: No, for now. And don't get your hopes up for later, either. Wait for science, one day that answer could turn into definite no or maybe. Take this post with a grain of salt. Edit: Brain-to-brain interfaces aside, it would be interesting if you could see someone else's tulpa some day. anyone who disagrees are dumb. I'm gonna put this as my sig.
Incognito September 28, 2013 September 28, 2013 Limits on what can happen, or what cannot happen, also limits the progression of science. If you assume that something is not possible, then by default it is not possible. I'm not saying that if you believe in something then it will automatically become true, but I am saying that you shouldn't make limits on anything. Please assume everything I say on the subject of Tulpae as theory based off of information I have found on Tulpamany, since I do not have a Tulpa.
