Well, any advice? I'm very new to all this, and I wanted to talk to people who are more experienced in this area! And honestly, from what little I've seen, everything here seems extremely welcoming!

For advice: doing research is a good thing, having a tulpa is not for everyone. If you decide to make a tulpa, belief is an important step.

Oh, I have no problem with that! The only thing is that I'm still a little skeptical about it all, but I consider myself very open-minded about it. And also, even if I don't get results, I'll at least meditate more! I love meditating, I've been meditating every day for a VERY long time. Well, I don't think any of it is silly, honestly. It's just different from my usual perspective, basically a whole new world.

@ShaulaYes, yes, I'm researching tulpas a lot!(It's been dominating my mind, to be honest). And well, I don't usually have problems with beliefs, although I need to study them in order to get into them.

 

And well, I think an important factor is, just to explain more of my story. I'm seventeen(I hope that's not against the rules here), and I had to leave school about two years ago because of mental health issues(and also because I came out as trans). I'm a lesbian. And I live in Brazil, and well... obviously I don't speak English as my first language, so if I make any grammatical mistakes, feel free to let me know! I learned to speak English in a slightly formal way, so I apologize if I don't know how to use some slang and things like that. And now my parents basically(and literally) keep me locked up at home until I turn 18(next year), when they can legally kick me out without it being against the law. And I can't leave because: I already had to live on the streets for a week, without food, surviving on rainwater and river water, and I was just over 13 years old. Precisely because my father kicked me out after I shouted that I am a girl. Anyway, this is just a little more about me, and also so that no one thinks I'm stuck here because I want to be. I just don't want to live on the streets, basically. Well, that's a more specific explanation of why I literally have no one in this city, not a single person.

 

Another thing about me: I have a reversed sleep schedule, meaning I sleep in the morning and stay up at night and in the early hours of the morning. I do this mainly for survival, since staying awake at the same time as my parents has led to beatings and arguments that I don't want to repeat. I have to take care of my physical(and mental) health, after all. And well, I LOVE to talk, but only through text. I have selective mutism, and I haven't spoken a word verbally(only verbally, in my mind I speak fine) for over a year and a half. So... well, just to let you know.

 

And wow, this turned out much longer than expected. Well, sorry for any mistakes! And, as you can see, I write VERY long messages, and sometimes I don't even realize it. Maybe it's because I'm a writer, but I start writing and just forget to stop often, lol. Anyway, thank you EVERYONE for your responses! I really appreciate it. And sorry if my responses are too long, I really do write too much.

 

Edit(About me talking too much about myself(I was warned about this): Well, I live in Brazil, as I said. I don't have social media, I don't have any photos online, and I've never even mentioned the name of my STATE here. So, you can rest assured about that.)

Hello!! You can call me Chill. Nearly 2 years ago, I found this site and thought "hey, why not make a tulpa?" So, here I am, with 2 tulpas.

The first one is Star, who I created myself, and the second one is Hero, who formed, ironically, from my own paranoia about creating another tulpa.

 

The reason we've made an account now is because we're struggling with switching/possession. So, we're going to make our own progress report thread on that, and try to figure it out. We still have our own old and private progress thread but it's a bit cringey, so we'll write a proper intro later.

I'm an old fart without a future and a sad past. I have learned about tulpas from ponythreads back in 2014 or something. In that time, it was just a funny imageboard meme.

All those times the notion of tulpa haunted me. I am quite into philosophy, so I played quite a lot with ontology.

I though about tulpas but had some thoughts it was not right to do so.

Then, some time later, this summer. There was a message. An explanation.
She is here. I just have to hear her.

 

There is work to be done. I do not hear yet. I long to.

Hello we are L&C+, original here, I am L  -, an abreviation of my name, and I come here with my 4 tulpas Clare, Kajiyo, Kali, Amyra. We pretend to try to contribute with the community in some way, posting some of our praticques reports and also reading and interacting with the members of the forum. 

 

brief summary about us: Clare was it me since I was born, Amyra in my childhood, Kajiyo formed in my pre-adolescence, Kali in my adulthood, but didn't know tha name for it, so I just knew the name of the Clare because she told me, but the others I named it after discoverying about personification and active imagination in psycology and then tulpamancy.

 

I'm grateful that a community like this exists, thank you
