I just learnt about the existence of tulpas yesterday on Reddit. I was skeptical at first, but I was familiar with the concept of plurality as I had heard about DID before, and it didn't take me long to be convinced.

 

I got very excited (maybe too excited) about it and have been thinking about it almost non-stop since yesterday. Tulpas seem like the companion I've been dreaming to have since some time as I feel a lot alone, and I'm very much willing to create one.

 

Also, I'm a student in computer science (just starting, so sorry if my explanation for my username is incorrect), so I hope I won't be to much unfocused from my studies, but I already struggle with focus and I hope this "long time investment" I see in the creation of a tulpa to actually help me feel better in my life.

 

Now, after taking my final decision, I must think a little more about the pros and cons as I know I tend to be very motivated toward some things and forget to reason, and I'm aware it is a very important decision which is not to be taken lightly.

 

Hi! Welcome! Ooh that's so cool! I'm kinda familiar with operating systems since me and my dad use Linux, zorin, and such and he's very smart in that sorta thing. I think that's a very clever username and I see, that's okay this website allows you to change usernames so if you ever want to change it feels free to change it!

 

It's okay as a native English speaker I, too, suck at English everyone here is pretty respectful and even if we don't understand we could always ask for clarification too!

Ooh that's so cool! Computer science is pretty cool TBH and it's okay even if you did mistakes happen.

 

Of course, take your time thinking about this stuff as this is alters your brain and your life significantly. It's always best to really think if you want wanna go through with this or not. That's a very good trait to have but I understand it's good to also be cautious and take responsibility. And definitely tulpamancy is definitely a big decision depsite it being a controlled process and sometimes slow, tulpas are as real as us and shouldn't be created so recklessly I'm glad your taking your time. Either way if you want or don't want to create a Tulpa your always welcomed here!

Ah, yes, the typical duality of non-native English speakers.

Either we suck at English or we have better grammer and prose than the people speaking it as a mother tongue.

Mai is definitely in the second camp, while you seem to be well on the way there - though the German is still shining through - so I really doubt that you'll need to clear much up.

 

And yeah, PID 0 is the first created process, with every other process being a fork from it. It's called that due to having Process Identification/Process ID 0.

Well I'm sure nobody will care, but in fact I actually wanted to mean PID 1 for my username, which is supposed to be the init process started by the kernel and responsible for starting the other processes.

I'm Mapleb. I heard about tulpas just a week ago and was fascinated by the concept, especially since I think I had already unintentionally created a tulpa a few years ago, conversing in my mind and receiving responses like pressures in my head

 

My main goal here is to develop my tulpa, especially to give it a shape and a voice

 

I'm also a pretty shy person who has never been on a forum before and my primary language is not english but I hope to be able to socialize with others here
