WhiiteRussian June 23, 2012 June 23, 2012 Has anyone's tulpa helped them in school or mind related challenges? Post stories.
ThatOneGuy June 23, 2012 June 23, 2012 It was Luna and Glitch that took the exams. Clair could help me out, but I wouldn't really want to use her as a crutch. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
G|d30n June 23, 2012 June 23, 2012 Lauren helped me remember a word and definition for a text I was sending a second ago when I was stumbling over myself to try and find what I was trying to say. That's not really a school experience, since I'm out of school, but it's an example of how tulpae can help with memory and stored knowledge that our easily distracted conscious thinking sometimes stumbles over. She remembers things from school days that I had forgotten from lack of use, so the same application could easily be useful to a student who's still in school. Though, as TOG says, it would be something of a crutch, seeing as how remember and applying the knowledge from past lectures and reading is pretty much 100% of the challenge presented in school, and taking away the obstacle of having to sort things out for yourself means you might as well just be listening to a recording, rather than attending class. Making it so that you can succeed without trying as hard as others means you wouldn't be as engaged, and so while a tulpa would help you do well on tests, relying too heavily on it would squander the opportunity that school presents to actually stimulate and broaden your mind. Honing your mind is as much the point as just learning and retaining the knowledge itself, ideally. Progess on my tulpa, Lauren. Lauren's survey and stylometric test.
knux3k June 23, 2012 June 23, 2012 Gideon has a point, though of course, you can still have a normal school experience with a little help. I plan on having my tulpa helping me, but not relying on it-I see that as, well, sheer stupidity. You should actually learn instead of depending on the tulpa you create, though if you HAVE too, then you use the tulpa.
Guest June 23, 2012 June 23, 2012 I see that as, well, sheer stupidity. You should actually learn instead of depending on the tulpa you create,What? The tulpa is part of you, so whatever you learn, it learns, and whatever it learns, you learn. It'd rather be a win-win situation if the tulpa took part, since it'd have a better grasp at things in the future instead of you having to possibly re-explain things, depending how much you've intentionally limited its capabilities. If the tulpa is uninterested, too bad; it's going to know anyway. :V

Guest June 23, 2012 June 23, 2012 I didn't imply that, either! Just saying that the host and tulpa share the same knowledge base. That's all.
Guest June 23, 2012 June 23, 2012 I'm a math/CS major, and I have no objections to using his memory to test out of gen eds. That stuff is just bullshit to keep me in there longer, anyway.
Pronas June 23, 2012 June 23, 2012 Well, if you fuck up and end up homeless i'm sure your tulpa will appreciate it too.
